It has been MANY MANY YEARS since I've seen a red Southern Railroad Caboose. Back in the 70's, I would ALWAYS see these at rail crossing on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, South Carolina near the Bi-Lo grocery store I used to work at. I would ALWAYS WAVE to the men in the caboose. More times than not, they'd wave back.😊😊😊😊
I was totally on that train. You filmed in two of the same spots that I was standing at, but I didn't see myself. I recorded 630 and 4501 running light at Summerville and then Chattanooga at the very end of the trip. I was also in the photo line at Rock Springs on the other side of the track. If you remember anybody really tall with brown, slightly graying hair, that was me.
No freight traffic goes over the bridge that connects them to the c&c so ns had no incentive to fix it. I’m not sure on the details of how they resolved the issue, I assume $$$$ was involved.
@@radforddivisionrailfan I could tell it was a three chime, however, when it comes to identifying whistles, that’s one of my weak points, unless it’s something like distinctive, like a hooter whistle.
Trains like this are an absolute treasure!
I really liked that trip it put a smile on my face I made a lot of friends that day also I really liked riding in that c&o dome car
Man, these clips are so good. Almost makes me feel like I was actually there.😉
No way me too! You don't think we're IN a Smoky Mtn Steam video do ya?
Now, what would ever give you that notion?
Hmmm that’s weird… 😂
Fantastic video man! Was great seeing you again! Sorry about your camera battery but I have to say the video came out great!

I'm glad to see that TVRM can go back to Georgia now. I had heard stories about there being a lawsuit involved but I wasn't sure about that.

❤AWESOME❤
Very nice
Pardon me boy is that the Chattanooga Choo Choo
That doesn’t sound like 01’s normal whistle. Sounds more like a Ps-4’s whistle.
It's a Virginia and Southwestern 3 chime. Similar to a Ps-4 whistle.

Oh yeah, I understand. I've spent a lot of time learning about whistles. It's definitely come in handy for many conversations.
Funny thing about the V&SW is that it’s basically a Ps-4 whistle modified to fit on a Nathan 6 chime bowl.
like The color of those old Southern Railroad cars, to me looks like Charleston Green.
I know that the whistle was so loud. 💀💀
