@@forex601 depends on whats your plan if planning for intraday then 5 mins time frame is good and i am also using this strategy but mine is little different if the candel is on the green line and the next candel us above the green they I go for long if the candel is on the red line and the next candel close below the red line then I go for short because the signal keeps on changing

This is actually a solid strategy if you add some other indicators and modify them. Like chose an indicator that shows the direction of the trend and macd if the price is above the trend line and macd is above zero only take long trades and vice versa plus wait for the candle with the signal to close.
How about just grow up and realize that these indicators do not work long term. Stop being lazy and go learn price action.

It's the same as support and resistance structure levels along with the RSI for confluence and a moving average to aid with the trend. 😊

Instead of waiting for the rsi to break downwards, DCA sell on the way up and dump the whole heap when rsi breaks if you haven’t sold everything by then. Again no guarantees and most effective if you have a bot to do it so you take away the human emotions.

which charts are you using it on?
Thats a classic pullback. It'll break, pullback for a retest, then either continue up or break back through resistance. If you're not waiting for that pullback and confirmation of uptrend then you should probably hit the books a little bit more.
great hand-picking of signals that actually worked out. Backtested this strategy and got a 21% win rate. Nevertheless, my test account was in the plus afterward, as I used pretty narrow S/L and when it worked, you could ride the outbreak for quite some time, at least sometimes. The plus came from one major outbreak going over 400 pips, without this one occasion the strategy would have been negative overall.

Trendiness with break is a repainting indicator. It may look good in backtests, but it becomes unreliable in real time. I suggest doing some more digging before jumping in as the signals could alter around.

RSI indicator means nothing in a trending market though🤷🏽♂️. I seen a market get oversold to 10. Then another one over bought at 90+ I just exit at consolidation. If you know where the market is going why get out then try to reposition yourself. Everybody different though that’s just how I SEE it.
Nobody is tells the basics. Trend is your friend, unless it bends. We buy in bullish trend and look for sell in bearish trend.

Trendlines are useful. I don't usually use any indicators tho, just look at price action and use tools instead. I feel like indicators are just lagging indicators rather than driving indicators.
I would go so far as to not ALWAYS sell/buy just because the line goes above the 70%/30% overbought/oversold line on the RSI. I would rather wait for divergence on the RSI first. Just because it says it's oversold it doesn't mean that it's going to do a U-Turn.
For those who don't understand what this is, you look at how the trade is moving on the normal chart comparing it to the RSI. You look for a difference between the two. So....if the line moves above the overbought and is continuing up but takes a down on the RSI than you should sell. The opposite with doing a buy and the oversold line
This is why I don't use rsi I rather use macd
facts, the purple line tends to move back towards the yellow line and it's important to monitor both lines closely in distance and height.

He's so right. I've found unique strategies on Trading View, some quite unique strategies, even some very unique strategies, but this is definitely the most unique!!!!
In an uptrend the RSI would stay overbought well into many significant moves up. Even tracking divergence can be a miss signal, but the best exit would be have a trailing stop loss and then if you get stopped out too soon. Get right back in and ride it on up
This strategy made the world 5 degrees hotter.
People say RSI is a leading indicator. But I don't think so. I use Trend Intensity Index & MACD , Shinohara Intensity Ratio indicator (to know the trend & strength of Buy or Sell trend). I am really happy with these indicators rather than RSI. Stochastics momentum Indicator is better than RSI. Adding to all these Indicators - Price ROC & Price Volume Trend should be stronger to do trading. Otherwise, It would be sidewards move & sluggish for whole trading session.

Update. Doesn't really work. By the time you get the signal the stock already went up or down.
All it really does is make a wedge between the highs and lows and whenever it breaks it you get the signal but they are not accurate. I'd say I've won 10% of trades with this strategy

noob's beginner strategy can give you low profits and higher losses. Most of the time these indicators make the point after hitting the breakpoint. Understanding the trend, pattern, candlesticks, price action, and risk management makes you the real trader.

Here is the kicker: market is‘nt overbought/ sold above/below 30/70.
Yeah the key for overbought/oversold: take oversold dips in a strong uptrend and take overbought "peaks" in a strong downtrend. THAT is how you use rsi correctly. 😄

I don’t believe in indicators except ema and and volume, I believe in charts , and for sure break out of a trend line take look at the volume for breakout candle , and for finding proper trendline swtich the chart style to line then you can easily see where you should draw trendline and also it’s easy to find which pattern market is making and then switch the chart style to candle
ok i’ve tested this strategy on the CADJPY pair over more or less 100 trades, the strategy has a profit of +0,16 risk units over that 100 hundred trades (if there were more trades it would be closer to 0), and each trade is expected to last about 20 trading time frame bars. well.. still better than the “emotion strategy” i guess.
We just bought bag 0.7% supply of $CHICO and burned it. Worth ~ 900$.
We will keep doing this, reducing the supply more and more. 💙🔥

This is honestly one of half decent a videos that’s worth watching. The idea is correct but strategy itself do not apply to the real market 90% of them due to rapid positions of RSI level. Once understand why RSI divergence exist then you may able to pick one of the RSI in 3-5 lines nearby that actually matters.
@@jasonzhang6548 RSI is the single worst indicator there is. Overbought and oversold does not exist in Forex. It was designed decades ago for stocks, which can be overbought/sold

That's why he said show only CONFIRMED break outs. That means wait until the candle closes for it to be confirmed. That's how you avoid repainting. If you had a tradingview account they tell you about it on the right side tab. The strategy works fine as long as you know what you're doing
