*They weren't imprisoned for trying to enter a country illegally.. isn't that enough.. and were sent back in an expensive aircraft after taking necessary precautions..*
*What's the hue and cry all about.. ?*

I am appalled by the ignorance of your interviewees. FACT: Indian illegal immigrants entered the US and broke the US laws. US law enforcement standard operating procedure is to handcuff subjects. The US military aircraft transports all illegals in handcuffs and leg chains to stop them from any risks to the air crew. Indian illegal immigrants have caused this embarrassment to the country. Stop playing the victim card that US has insulted India. Legal Indians are leaders in business, technology and government in the US. That is another fact where US law abiding citizens are rewarded. I am an Indian born US naturalized citizen who has lived there for over 4 decades.

India should take action against such agency who are in the business of illegal migration.Every country have the right to deport them according to their law.illtreatment, good treatment,no treatment is immaterial.

The USA do according to their law. They caught criminals, criminals according to their law. Their law asks their police and military to hand cuff . These holyy fellows were NOT invited there. There is nothing wrong in it. Hope they select another nation n e xt time. They could go to Somalia, Bangladesh, Pakistan,....

What is this commotion all about?Every year for the last decade or more, many illegal indian immigrants have been deported to India from the USA. It happens all the time. The reason why they are handcuffed is because some of the illegals can be desperate individuals who can harm the crew of the plane and who knows even attempt a hijack. In the USA, law enforcement uses handcuffs for multiple reasons. The reasons are plenty. I hope common sense prevails with credible journalists

Hey, you do a crime, you pay for it. Do not expect same treatment as a commercial customer who is paying for the tickets, having proper visa and obeying the laws. And why should Indian government say anything about it? Indian government did not ask you to go the donkey route to US. It was your choice to go illegally. Neither the Indian govt. nor the US govt. asked you to go there. Stay in your country, study - if you can't study then learn some craft - become a mechanic, baker or something if you don't own any land. And then live you life with pride instead of expecting the govt. to rehabilitate you.

You are free to self deport to your country of origin without any questions unless you have an arrest warrant, I personally know quite a few people who left USA as their visa expired with out any issue, if you expect the United Sates to forcefully deport you then it totally depends on them how they do so, plus the US military have certain procedure in place to ensure safety of the crew and will not make changes for any specific Country in question

What do you expect. Welcome these people with garlands. They have lakhs to pay money to agents but couldn't do anything with half of that money in India. They just want to earn fast money in short time. Now it's bouncing back to them. Why govt should spend money to bring these rule breakers. Nobody forced them to pay money.

During Congress rule in 2013, Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade India’s then the Deputy Consul General in New York was charged with visa fraud to bring her domestic worker Sangeeta Richard. The senior diplomat was subjected to “Strip-Search” which involves examination of all the holes in the body. Devyani Khobragade received this examination as per US laws. If a diplomat is given this treatment surely illegal immigrants have been better off than her.

India is the fifth largest economy in the world, therefore not a poor country. Why did the Indian emigrants have to leave India for work in the United States. All deportees should be provided financial help to pay off loans and all illegal travel agents sent to prison for long terms.
