I’ve only read the first 2 and the story is the same as the anime. However Horikita and especially Ayonuji (I know that’s wrong) have very different personalities in the books

They each only wore a chest and waist wrap while on the island. They would spar with the objective of undoing the others wraps. Neither of them know healing magic so they can’t afford to seriously injure each other in a real fight. Also I’m sure the author just wanted some fanservice.
Something is missing here. I mean, what happened during Rantas fight with Takasagi in the elf village? Did he win? That reminds me that Devil is a Part timer is complete now. I'm not sure about the english volumes though. And Arifureta is also near the end in English. I haven't read volume 11 yet. And KimiSen is almost over in Japan and volume 8 is due in January. Maybe you can do one of those series or the Irregular at magic highschool. I hope you don't have to wait super long for the next volume of Grimgar. I hope my next volumes of KimiSen get delivered soon. And it's great Yume can beat the shit out of people now. And Ranta bcame pretty OP it seems. I hope Haru gets off the crack.
Happy to hear you ended up deciding to go with Classroom of the Elite eventually. It can be rather fanservicey at times but it’s a very good and interesting series in my eyes. I wish the anime did it more justice.

I also love the scenarios the novels create through their special exams, which we unfortunately don’t get to see much of until the later half of the anime.
