I think you’re main choice is whether you want children at the resort or not. Both have great food, rooms and service. You might also want to check out El Dorado Royale & Casitas. 😎
There are two that have spectacular beaches, Maroma in Riviera Maya and Azul in Jamaica (family resort). I’m not sure about the one in Punta Cana, though that beach also looks amazing.
El Dorado Seaside Suites resort is not what is use to be. Maintenance is not being kept up, the food quality has also gone bad. This resort is the biggest disappointment ever. The founder of the Resort chain turned control over to his daughter and her husband has been running the resorts. Furthermore, the son-in law has been cutting standard amenities, activities, shows and basically going cheap and yet wanting to charge a premium price for what use to be consider a 5 star resort that's now at best 3 stars. The place is very depressing and I would never recommend anyone to stay at this resort. And if you would ask me if I would return to this place, my answer straight up is a diffidently NO. Better to use you money at another resort. Seaside Suites is poorly managed!
That’s very disappointing as this is one of my favourite resorts. I have noticed a trend in all the resort chains in recent years of shaving services and costs but raising prices.

Hello I was curious if this was 18 or 21+ and also if there were any night clubs or bars that stayed open till 2 for some nightlife? Thank you!
Adults only resorts are 18+. Yes there is a late night bar.
Are you able to visit both sides when you stay at palms?
Yes
The video itself is great. The sound is horrible. The loud fan or humming sound is a bit much. You would consider rerecording it.
is El Dorado Seaside Suites better or worse then El Dorado Royle?
They both are quite nice. EDR is much bigger than EDSS and only 30 mins from the airport, EDSS is more than an hour.
Are you able to eat on both sides or just use the beach?
Yes you can go to both sides and use any of the restaurants and facilities. The only restricted area is Hidden Beach.
