It's fascinating to discover what happened in Jerusalem in 70ad, and how much of it fulfilled prophesies of Jesus. So many don't know because they've never examined the history of the fall, never studied it, read Josephus etc
Josephus is great.. but I say read/study The Apostle Paul's epistles... Romans thru Philemon.. That's the doctrine for the Church age... The age of the GOSPEL of grace...that was hid in God before the foundation of the world....
Parts of what Mr. Demar has to offer through his views of eschatology make sense, when the Greek words which have been translated wrongly (with the mainstream end times theological view in mind), where Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13's discourse has been thrown forward into our day. What is a good study is to read Josephus writings, as well as "Annals of the World" for the time period surrounding A.D. 70. Facts do line up, as does something Mr. DeMar did not mention here, in that the word, "tribulation" is, in this passage and the others where Jesus speaks of a coming tribulation, defined as "a siege in time of war". Luke 21 gives us the best visual of this, "when you see armies surround". Historically, when Vespasian went back to Rome (after the three emperors had killed one another off, and His own troops had crowned him the 4th emperor of Rome within a 3 year period) to take the crown officially there, his son, Titus continued the campaign, his troops of some 60 to 80,000 men marching southward from the northern Galilean region, ready to take the last bulwark, Jerusalem. With a three-layered wall surround, the "seige" of the city to final destruction took 3.5 years. Rome was prepared to enter the city, now filled with starving citizens and perhaps up to 600,000 visiting pilgrims. It was the worst time in Jewish history, surpassing all of the previous Babylonian campaigns of destruction. Vespasian, when congratulated in Rome, would not take the glory, seeing that the God of the Jews was the One Who had destroyed them. He only saw it as a work of their "god's hands", not his own. Shameful, really. This was the truth, according to Jesus. However, Mr. DeMar does begin to stammer a bit when he tries to explain the sun, moon and stars as symbolic only, displayed in our nations' flags and such. =( And, "coming in the clouds" in this particular passage might be referencing His ascension. However, the angels, at His ascension, were clear in reminding the disciples that "this same Jesus shall also descend in like manner". More study needed in these areas for me! Too many scripture passages are coming to mind, however, to put His coming in the past. Jesus warns of this, specifically. Also, as we observe the system of Babylon arising (not merely as a fallen empire, but rather as describing "the kingdoms of this world"), while we come into better understanding (6 years after this series was posted) of the Ba'al worship resurfacing (making itself visible), the age-old call in Revelation 18:4, whether to a generation not ours, does it matter? Priests were called to live a life of separation from mixture with the world of surrounding nations, serving other gods. The people were, too. But, priests and Levites were set apart unto Him. Peter in I Peter 2, explains that we ARE that royal priesthood, that holy nation (set apart unto Him), that people for His own possession. Of late, the impression I sense is one more of, "come out from", than "go into". We are to be coming unto Him, fixing our eyes upon Him, however, and not upon a political nation in this late date which is called Israel. It is not Biblical Israel. It is Israel in name only. Nothing about the nation is taught in the New Testament by either Jesus or the apostles as a focal point for the time near the end. We all know that there will be an end, and that Jesus will rule with a rod/scepter of iron righteousness. He came as the servant. He will come as absolute ruler. We also know that Jesus is clear that His coming is imminent, which leaves nothing yet to be completed before He can, at any moment, break through the clouds. I do find it almost amusing that teachers of eschatology are confident in their teachings. I believe that our Father has some information reserved unto Himself alone. As in Job 38, when He asked Job, "Who is this that darkens My counsel with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man, and I will ask you a question, and you shall answer Me. Where were you when I...?" If we take this view of our Lord (that He simply knows much more than we do),, while cherishing close relationship with Him daily, we take a more humble, "You are God and I am not" while we continue to hear His voice and search His Word, ready for action in the world we live in, making a difference, being salt and light,, which would include separating ourselves from this world's system.
you are on the wrong track even thought you read the history . Jesus was asked three things the coming destruction of the temple the second coming and the end of the age. Jesus stated the destruction of the temple fulfilled in 70 ad as witness by Josephus Jesus goes into the future referring to the prophet Daniel concerning the abomination of desolation...the Prince or anti christ...titus revered did...a Roman torch was thrown into the temple which was set on fire...but no abomination as petition by Daniel.
Jesus stated let the reader what understand...this guy theology is off by many miles. first Jesus was addressing Jews not gentiles to Israel not the church...the elect ...israel..this generation ...in response to the three future questions. that generation is the future generation that sees these things. the abomination of desolation of the anti Christ who rebuilds the temple goes into it set up an altar forces the people of the world to worshipped it this defining the temple making war on Israel read zecariah.
The book of Revelation also speaks of Jesus "coming" to the churches, as a judge, to remove their "lampstand." Obviously this was/is not to be understood as a bodily return, but in the sense that he is going to render a spiritual judgement with corporeal consequences.
The word translated as "world" in Matthew 24:14 is "oikoumene" - the same word is also used in Acts 11:28, and Luke 2:1 and in each instance it means "Roman Empire", or "Roman World", not the entire planet (for which Matthew would have used "cosmos"). Check those other two verses if you don't believe me - it's "Roman Empire". And the fulfillment is in Romans 16:25-26 ("made known to all nations"). He even says that the gospel was preached to 'every creature under heaven" (Colossians 1:5-6, 23)
CarvingArtdotcom - Good points and I agree. I would respectfully offer that the Romans 16 reference may not make the point you say it does (I could see an advocate of another system possibly accusing you of stretching that one, although I do not believe that is your intent at all). Regardless, your point stands because the Colossians 1 reference clearly does connect back to what Jesus stated in Matthew 24:14 regarding the inhabited earth, I.e., Roman world of the 1st century A.D. It's refreshing when Scripture interprets Scripture.
I learn a lot from Gary, he is a wonderful teacher. But I have an overwhelming sense in my spirit that there is so much more to Matthew 24 than just a 70 AD destruction. Those verses 23-31 are simply too powerful and incredibly incriminating; it has to be a true Second Coming of Jesus in the future. Everything that follows in v 32-51 fits contextually, perfectly, the stage is being set.
All people need to do is watch all the teachings of Dr. Chuck Missler. He is very thorough with Biblical prophecy, history and past, present and future history according to the Biblical narrative. Also covers upcoming events in regards to what lay ahead for the world. I can clearly see the worlds not getting better and mankind is NOT going to make it better.
I know this is an older video but I have to disagree with 1 part. I don't believe the Jerusalem destruction was due to their rejection of their messiah. I believe the destruction of Jerusalem was prophesied to happen before Yahshuah was killed due to their horrible corruption. Their rejection of their messiah sealed their fate, but it wasn't the original domino that caused it to fall.
Romans 13 1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
Olivet Timing Revealed by Luke’s Gospel: Compare Luke's Gospel to that of Matthew if you want to understand the timing. The disciples asked two different questions. When will the temple be destroyed? What will be the sign of your Second Coming? Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple (These subtitles are found in e-Sword.) Luk 21:5 Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said, Luk 21:6 "These things which you see-the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down." (Mat 24:2 And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." ) Luk 21:7 So they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?" (Mat 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?") ( Mar 13:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately, Mar 13:4 "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?") Luk 21:8 And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them. (Mat 24:5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. ) Luk 21:9 But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately." (Mat 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.) Jesus Foretells Wars and Persecution Luk 21:10 Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. (Mat 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. ) Luk 21:11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. (Mat 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. ) Luk 21:12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake. (Mat 24:9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.) (Read Acts 22:19-20, where Paul reveals that he fulfilled this text.) Luk 21:13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. Luk 21:14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; Luk 21:15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. Luk 21:16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. Luk 21:17 And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. (Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. ) Luk 21:18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost. Luk 21:19 By your patience possess your souls. (Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.) Jesus Foretells Destruction of Jerusalem Luk 21:20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. (Mat 24:15 "Therefore when you see the 'ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), (Look at the reference to Hanukkah in John 10:22, if you want to know what the Jews of Jesus time understood about Antiochus Ephiphanes attacking the city during 167 BC, when his forces killed thousands of Jews, and stopped the sacrifices. Those two things also happened during 70AD.) Luk 21:21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. (Mat 24:16 "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.) Luk 21:22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Luk 21:23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. (See also Luke 23:28-31.) (Mat 24:19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! ) Luk 21:24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Almost all Bible scholars agree that the first part of the verse above is about 70 AD. At the end of the verse we find a period of time known as “the times of the Gentiles”. In the verses that follow we find the future Second Coming of Christ. Paul also referred to this time period in Romans 11:25, and Acts 28:28.) The Coming of the Son of Man Luk 21:25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; (Mat 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.) Luk 21:26 men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Luk 21:27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (Mat 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.) Luk 21:28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." (Mat 24:33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-at the doors!) ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: John 10:22 is a reference to the celebration of Hanukkah each year by the Jews of Jesus time. The Book of Matthew was addressed mainly to a Jewish audience. Jesus was telling the Jews of His time that something similar to 167 BC would happen during 70 AD. Not only did Antiochus desecrate the temple, but he also attacked the city killing thousands of Jews and stopped the temple sacrifices. The temple sacrifices would also stop in 70 AD, due to the destruction of the temple. Based on John 10:22, the Jews were well aware of this historical fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy. Luke’s Gospel was written to more of a Gentile audience, so he spelled it out for them. Matthew 24:15-16 and Luke 21:20-21 are clearly parallel accounts because of the common word elements in both passages. We also have the same reference to flee in the second verse in each Gospel.
This is why it is called Daniels 70th week Daniel 9:24-27 The church will be removed and then that final 70th week will begin at the signing or enforcing of the covenant on behalf of the many with Israel. That final week of years must take place to bring in the Hebrews as a nation. It cannot happen any other way
Do u even read your bible first it should be kjv bible and second rightly divide your bible matt luke mark john are old testment books they are talking about isreal future in matt 24 act is the transtion book frm jews too gentiles paul is our apostle
Ah the Gap theory. This all comes from reading between the lines. I used to try to work that convoluted system out until I was shown a different idea. Sounded like heresy so I went back and searched scripture to see what it ACTUALLY said and I was flattened. There was no such teaching in scripture as I had believed. It was all read in. When what you believe is contradicted by the plain meaning (so many times) you have to cede to the word of God. You teach 2 bodies. The bible teaches ONE body.
The purpose of the cross is the salvation of those chosen both of Israel and the gentiles. Temples or tribulation never saved anyone. The tribulation was God's judgment on Israel and is spoken of much in Matthew. (Eph 3:6) This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus." simple. As an ex dispy I couldn't find any support in scripture for that position. I followed scripture.
Matthew24:39 and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away;so shall the coming of the Son of man be. Mathew24:14 and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and THEN shall the end come. was the gospel preached to america in the 1st century AD?
Well I will leave you there then full of what you speak. Your name suggests you are dispensensationalist in your understanding which is sure a popular view right now. I've left that behind (pardon the play on words). I found Preterism much more consistent with Scripture and more in line with historic views, even with both Amil, and prob even historic Premil. Keep studying!
Show me where the bible prophesies of a 'newly built temple'. It says one will be destroyed and it was. The one Jesus & the disciples were referring to. Fulfilled! Compare Matt 24 30-31 with Dan 7 11-14 and you can then read in context with more of a jewish mind and see that Jesus was quoting scripture and also that the scene is heaven (before the throne of God) and not earth.
And what has that to do with God? 'Google' Hebrews and find out that God has done with the shadow, it has served it's purpose. There is no longer a purpose in a physical temple for God's people are His dwelling place. Why would we return to the old? You interpret the temple as future whereas it's the same as the one referred to in Matt 24. Any future temple is of no consequence in God's plan.
read what Jesus stated he stated and when you see the abomination of desolation in the temple. referring to Daniel go to Daniel and read it. he states let the reader understand.

Show me in history where Christ returned in great power and glory and every eye will see Him? When the ac enters into the newly built temple and proclaims himself to be God and the Hebrews that recognize they were wrong in thinking he was the Messiah, they will flee into the wilderness of Judea is a local event and it will be these Jews that will be protected by God. This is yet future. Show me where people worldwide accepted the mark of the beast
This is not a description of Christ "returning" but rather being revealed in heaven in great power and glory. The disciples knew nothing of a return because they knew nothing of Christ going back to heaven. Jesus had not revealed that to them yet. As for your views on antichrist you are merely speculating and overlaying your preconceptions onto the text.
no Jesus told told them to watch and be ready ...akways be ready for no servant knows when the master returns. the very Greek word the early Christians used and in the new testament is the word maranatha which means the Lord cometh a salutation among early christians.
+Mike Hamlin ever studied the fall of Jerusalem and what actually happened in 70 AD? Ever read Josephus the famous historian? Fascinating stuff! Each generation from that day down to this, thinks *All* of Jesus prophesies in Matt 24 pertains to *Their* generation, simply because they've never bothered to study the history.

Still have yet to hear or read a good comprehensive explanation of Matthew 24. "This generation" is the generation of the church. The church will not pass until these things take place. Just as when Jesus (Matthew) wrote"The gates of hades will not prevail against his church. Jesus pivots from the Jerusalem Church by saying "This gospel must be preached to the inhabited earth", meaning to include the Gentile church. Another note, Jesus does not prophecy about future events, because prophecies are contingent upon events. Jesus is stating a fact-the generation (the church) WILL NOT pass until these things occur. Why? Because all these are contingent on his words; his utterance is not contingent on the unfolding of events., Jesus is declaring what MUST happen not what he prophecies will happen.
You just do not want to drop your traditions. Genea is obvious what is meant and it is definitely not the church. Everything happened to a T in and around 70AD - you choose not to accept it.
@@Jus4kiks Matthew's gospel is centered on the church. He's not prophesying at that point, he's stating a requirement. Jesus said no sign will be given to this "genea" generation, EXCEPT the sign of Jonah. When Jesus said you will see "the sign" of the son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, it would have been another sign for a later period. You need to better understand the nuance of the Greek language.
@@protochris In Matthew 16 he is asked for miraculous proof for being the Son of God, the Messiah. And gives the Pharisees an answer. Matthew 24 he is asked by a different group of people about when will all these things happen (Temple not left standing) and what will the sign of the end of the age be and gives them an answer. God bless.

And, "coming in the clouds" in this particular passage might be referencing His ascension.
Where were you when I...?"
If we take this view of our Lord (that He simply knows much more than we do),, while cherishing close relationship with Him daily, we take a more humble, "You are God and I am not" while we continue to hear His voice and search His Word, ready for action in the world we live in, making a difference, being salt and light,, which would include separating ourselves from this world's system.
you are on the wrong track even thought you read the history . Jesus was asked three things the coming destruction of the temple the second coming and the end of the age. Jesus stated the destruction of the temple fulfilled in 70 ad as witness by Josephus Jesus goes into the future referring to the prophet Daniel concerning the abomination of desolation...the Prince or anti christ...titus revered did...a Roman torch was thrown into the temple which was set on fire...but no abomination as petition by Daniel.
there are many words referring to tribulation. desolation is one such word. hour of trial in another. wrath or snare are others.
@@davidpadilla9468 You are mistaken. Happy to explain, I know this was 3 years after your comment but maybe you have yet to study further.
It's refreshing when Scripture interprets Scripture.
you are wrong because he stated in Luke the coming snare that is coming upon the whole whole whole earth. does not whole mean whole an adjective
you need to re-read all the nation's not just the Roman Empire. the word all. the gospel to be preach to the whole world to every living creature.
cosmos mean more than the earth the universe itself. the second heaven.

AN ESCHATOLOGY OF VICTORY by Marcelles Kik is an excellent book on this subject. It also explains Rev 20.
I disagree, as much as I want us to be involved I do not think we are. Either way all glory to God brother. Have a great day.
What is the big bible on the stand to the right, and thanks for keeping the faith and truth alive!
All people need to do is watch all the teachings of Dr. Chuck Missler. He is very thorough with
Biblical prophecy, history and past, present and future history according to the Biblical narrative.
Would love to peruse the books on the shelves behind you.
Romans 13
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.
Olivet Timing Revealed by Luke’s Gospel:
Compare Luke's Gospel to that of Matthew if you want to understand the timing.
The disciples asked two different questions.
When will the temple be destroyed? What will be the sign of your Second Coming?
Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple (These subtitles are found in e-Sword.)
Luk 21:5 Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said,
Luk 21:6 "These things which you see-the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down."
(Mat 24:2 And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." )
Luk 21:7 So they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?"
(Mat 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?")
( Mar 13:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,
Mar 13:4 "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?")
Luk 21:8 And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them.
(Mat 24:5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. )
Luk 21:9 But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately."
(Mat 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.)
Jesus Foretells Wars and Persecution
Luk 21:10 Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
(Mat 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. )
Luk 21:11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
(Mat 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. )
Luk 21:12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake.
(Mat 24:9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.) (Read Acts 22:19-20, where Paul reveals that he fulfilled this text.)
Luk 21:13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.
Luk 21:14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer;
Luk 21:15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.
Luk 21:16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.
Luk 21:17 And you will be hated by all for My name's sake.
(Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. )
Luk 21:18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost.
Luk 21:19 By your patience possess your souls.
(Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.)
Jesus Foretells Destruction of Jerusalem
Luk 21:20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
(Mat 24:15 "Therefore when you see the 'ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),
(Look at the reference to Hanukkah in John 10:22, if you want to know what the Jews of Jesus time understood about Antiochus Ephiphanes attacking the city during 167 BC, when his forces killed thousands of Jews, and stopped the sacrifices. Those two things also happened during 70AD.)
Luk 21:21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
(Mat 24:16 "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.)
Luk 21:22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Luk 21:23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. (See also Luke 23:28-31.)
(Mat 24:19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! )
Luk 21:24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations.
Paul also referred to this time period in Romans 11:25, and Acts 28:28.)
The Coming of the Son of Man
Luk 21:25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
(Mat 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.)
Luk 21:26 men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Luk 21:27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
(Mat 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.)
Luk 21:28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
(Mat 24:33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-at the doors!)
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
John 10:22 is a reference to the celebration of Hanukkah each year by the Jews of Jesus time.

MY BOOK,
And what has that to do with God? 'Google' Hebrews and find out that God has done with the shadow, it has served it's purpose. There is no longer a purpose in a physical temple for God's people are His dwelling place. Why would we return to the old?
You interpret the temple as future whereas it's the same as the one referred to in Matt 24. Any future temple is of no consequence in God's plan.
