You can use any cardboard. If it is thin, you can double or triple it. Just make sure that you cover the exposed edges with paper tape, otherwise it will not look finished

Hi Dimple. I cut the cardboard using a paper cutter. Any imperfections can be later cut by scissors. Also I used Fevibond to stick the cardboard pieces together and fabric glue for the kundan and lace. You can also use fevicol
