Just lock them up explain to everyone I'm sorry but these have to be kept in this area. Or they have to sign the tools out if not returned they have to be accountable tools cost money regardless of the quality.
Not only the young kids. I have a couple of friends that forget and claim it as their own. Could you turn your camera down when you are working on stuff. We do not see your hands. :) Great video!
Missed you yesterday, but understand that problems happen. Great video Jeff, hide the new tools or lock them up and have a sign in sheet for them so that they have to be more responsible with your stuff. 😊😊😊😊
@fayeschipper3537 I will definitely hide them. Yea i upgraded the software and it worked way quicker than it ever has before. Maybe say something to my boss about tools he has to rebuild. Thanks for watching 👀
Working in the Millwright trade, it was common practice to your paint tools all the same color or engrave your tools with your name might be something to consider, but mainly, it is that the other workers just don't think about the need to return tools. We had an apprentice on 1 job who before the end of each day of work, we literally had to follow the path of jobs he did that day and pick up the tools he left scattered across the job site!
@@nonferrousjeff he didn't learn fast enough to suit all of us journeymen on the job!! But he did finally learn once he had to buy his own complete tool set!!
@jimwest3891 I think thats what it might take. Most of my sockets i have gathered from the scrap plus my wrenches. I had 2 sets my uncle bought me last year and they are all gone. Just poof disappeared. It gets annoying
@nonferrousjeff some of the trades, including Millwrights require every Millwright on the job to provide their own tools, including Carpenters, Ironworkers and Electricians. After having to buy their own tools, they have more responsibility toward their tools.

I understand your pain 100%. As soon as someone says they like an item/tool of ours. I wish there was such thing as GPS for the items. Sadly, we've had to unfriend a few people do to theft issues. People are so petty. If they want to barrow it. Then they need to return it. I'm sure you understand. Plus I imagine that your boss doesn't buy everything you require for your amazing job. I appreciate your videos greatly. Good luck on the GoPro upgrades.
@KristineSilvis i got a new batteries this morning from Amazon. Yea it's sad that people are that way. I am definitely sure that my boss doesn't want to keep buying tools every month
Hi Jeff, thank you for the great video, certainly missed you yesterday bro, was guessing you may of had problems with your battery and didn't record much as I did see you on Nachos video , saying battery flat, sorry you had problems with the upload , hopefully that doesn't happen again, all the best Anthony.
@anthonyizard I upgraded the software tonight and was soo much faster. I also ordered new batteries and some sd cards so hopefully no more issues for awhile. It's about problem solving and figuring it out. Thanks for watching 👀 Jeff
1st I’d say you need organize ur tool box so you see what and what you don’t have. Save you tons time digging for something that fits. Also any of the harbor frieght sockets and Allen sockets you take back for a new one when they break. My company just chunks them as well and I grab them and exchange them same with the husky and kobalt and craftsman brands. I’ve got a nice collection of them now and give them out to people when they need one or missing one if I have it. Also if ur organized you see what’s missing and have that person get it back in the tool box. Heck if they don’t I’d lock it up. Also get you some wobble socket extensions or adapters I’ve seen you struggle a lot trying take bolts out of stuff with the impact it allow you to get in crazy angles.
@kennethelliott2267 yea my socket drawer definitely needs to be organized. I knew harbor freight exchanges broken tools. I might spray paint my tools so I know that they are mine. The wobbles extensions I definitely need or whatever they are called. Thanksfor the suggestions
@Tom-xr1nl My tool box won't fit in my car. I am going to get some paint so I know they are mine. My dog would love it here. He would have the time of his life
Build a metal cabinet or take one from the scrap loads / pile to go over your tool box and put a door / padlock on it.
@@ebikescrapper3925 there's enough room to do that
I feel like every scrap guy that comes to your yard has a TH-cam 😂
There is 3 of them. Used to be 4
Use an extension to get out past the gear
I didn't think of that. Thanks
Jeff what you get when you cross a cangaru with a sheep? A wooly jumper
