Good to see Toad from Super Mario Bros doing well for himself these days
LOOOOOOOL!
Red shell on burgess
😂
Shocking barnet.....
Hahahaha 👍🇨🇱🇨🇦
In my opinion Tim, knows exactly what he was doing. The band has never stopped.
Thank you for the great music for over two decades Charlatans. Bless Tim Burgess for being different 🙏
Love the chord progressions in this song. Fills me with nostalgia. Melancholic nostalgia.
Timeless epic song, abysmal vocals here. Yikes.
The Charlatans struck gold with this song, it never loses its lustre
You damn right luster for ever.
LEGENDARY
Amazing band. Simple and on point. I will be listening to their songs all the way to the grave.
Pure nostalgia, I bet when most people of a certain age hears this know exactly what I mean ,tune !!!!!!!
Still playing. Wow! This takes me straight back to uni in the 90s. Thanks 🙌
Pete Salisbury from The Verve on drums!
Brilliant music
As distinctive a sound as ever.
Long may they continue...
I know this song from a german movie called "Schule" which means "school".... It's about finishing school and experiencing something together one last time before becoming an adult and losing the "innocence". What I remember about this movie is when they drive with a car through a corn field and this dreamy " burned before" part comes in. It's so timeless and nostalgic.
Wow its amazing that i can watch them in 2019... Still great...
I love seeing how Britpop songs fill everyone with such nostalgia, no matter their age. Literally everyone in the crowd you could see were letting loose and having a blast, so cute.
This is not Britpop 🤦🏻♂️
It's madchester
@@dovesfans819, how would you classify it?
Checking his messages during the solo 😂
Thats a new one! 😮
LEGENDS
I enjoyed this a lot
They still sound great after all these years!!!
No they don't
I used to love the charlatans but I have to agree tim sounds awful here. Completely out of key
I'm glad to see Stuart Smalley finally realized he's good enough, he's smart enough, and gosh darnit, people like his songs.
I am glad I don´t know about whatever shit you are referencing
Oh I laughed
Doggonnit, people like me!
Respect ❤
Classic 🕺
It was amazing watching this band live back in 90. Refreshing, something new and very cool.
I never realized that Carol Channing sang this!
Beautiful!!😂😂😂
Uhhhhh…..that is the Dutch Boy
AGUANTE THE CHARLATANS✌️!!!
These guys were so underrated, back in the day... I'm glad they were asked to do the big G!!!
No they weren't. Lol
@@lala4461 but they were overshadowed by other bands little after their time.
Love his hair style, he is so adorable.
🤡😂🤣
Great song always loved it but that was painful to watch
If anyone dislikes this song .go and find a band from space. One love Charlatans. ❤️
Great tune couldnt believe he's at Glastonbury but to be honest "the only one" worth watching that year.
I used to love these guys back in the day, seeing the lead singer here puts me off.
I love that haircut :)
everyone dissing the vocals, does it not matter this song is 30 years old? Geez
30yo an he still has this hairstyle
Yea it matters. If a band (or singer) sound shit, it’s not good to listen to. Banging tune though, and band deliver it great
@@cdchantler the crowd is even shittier tho
It's not the vocals, it's the fact that he can't sing in tune.
What do they know - this is a classic from my era so fuck anyone who does not get it
Woo Charlatans! ♥_♥
That hair!!!
If you love the Charlatans don't watch this...
Lol
I'm traumatized. I was trying to convince myself I hadn't really gotten that old. Then THIS....lol
Some things should just stay as memories
Everybody knows the pain
Better in small venues!!!! 💙💙💙
They have a club sound for sure. Not a big stadium rock band.
I saw the charlatans open for oasis back in 2002 at finsbury park and thought they were really good live to be fair the vocals were a bit off in places but awesome band and the vibe is brilliant to this tune
F A N T A S T I C
👏👏👏👏👏👏
👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
oh my
Ha, I bet no one says a fucking word about him recording the crowd on his mobile 🤣
Anyone who has got anything even slightly derogatory to Burgess or the Charlatans are foolish as fuck. Great great band.
He’s my grandads cousin
Upload more classic madchester songs
0:57 That's fucking David Beckham!
I dunno, there`s still plenty of Fashion Victim lookalikes around lol
At the time, derided as knockoffs, but they’re the only survivors from that period. They never even broke up, despite all the misfortune.
And Tim still has a full head of hair. The bastard….
The rest of the band need to start taking the potion that Tim has gotten hold of.
the shite haircut potion?
When your famous it’s your right to look like a complete twat.
@@davidrobbie2920 maybe!.. . I meant the elixir of youth he seems to have found but realise that was very vague from my previous message. He looks at first sight at least about half the age of the rest of the band.
I was there
I hope you asked for your money back after this shocking performance
Simple Jack, now you make songs!
dude…😆
Methinks the sound engineer forgot the keyboard players mic. Wished I was there though.
RIP - Martin Duffy
He's not there
Great song! I wish that his mic was higher whats the story with the the p.a
Maybe its just the tv sound recording tho. Guitars sound great the keys are low aswell tho.
I had to come have another look at that fucking mop
Pete ( ex verve drums)
Amazing song.
What is going on with that barnet though...
Cool dungarees 😎
i liked that song but i cant unsee this now
im never listening to anything by them again
That`s unbearably shallow of you, just listen and don`t look if you don`t like the look of them nowadays, they still sound great.
I should break out my picture with the band!
Adam Rich from "Eight is Enough" or Joey Lawrence from "Nell"?
He looks like a children's entertainer.
I didn't know the pain, I know it now though, after listening to that vocal performance.
Wasn’t too bad
Nice bowl cut 🤓
Facially Tim Burgess is still very youthful and handsome, but my god that hair (or is it actually a granny wig?) doesn`t do him any favours at all,and nor does the babygro romper suit!! lol
Great song, but this version seems a bit slow to me.
Loving all the Wolves flags in the crowd.
Did he form this band after The Ocean Blue??
I myself am a brit, nothing to proud of though especially because of our awful history. However I can say im proud of our music culture and I also think we have absolutely nailed the rock and roll scene over everyone else!
What the hell are you going on about? So Industrialisation, the modern justice system and social reforms are nothing to be proud of then? And that's before you consider the cultural influence that Britain has had, and still has, across the whole world. And not to mention being better than everyone else at conquest for nearly 200 years.
Jeez, if any one of our 'sophisticated' European cousins had even a tenth of our 'awful' history, you'd never hear the bloody end of it.
Moron.
This original poster is anti British and as woke as they come
Does Tim get old ?
He looks like the dude from inspiral carpets here 😂
That haircut lol
Dam who thought vocals could ruin a dam good version. The instrumental side was on point.
The hair. That's gotta be a wig
why's he holding the phone?
What’s going on with that hair lmao
I like the hair, but his vocals sucked!
@@Citadin mate....that hair though lol
@@powdergangereddie3413 OK Boomer
@@Citadin 😊
Strange that the rhythm is slower than the studio version
The organ could be turned up a bit. 🎹👍
oasis ... (?)
Problem Child in full effect
The only one i know is my fucking phone!!!
Better on 1.25 speed
Tim embraces the grey haired look clearly.
better on 1.25x
Glasgow celtc football club 9🏆🏆🇪🇺🇮🇪🏴💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Mickey mouse club in a mickey mouse league ! Come on you Hornets!!😎🤘🏻
Burgess aging gracefully I see…
Dude looks like Andy Pandy
Imagine going to a festival and looking that bored c’mon guys (the crowd not the band)
I swear nearly every rendition of classic Brit pop bands use British drum company lounge sets.
What on earth does that mean?
Can barely hear the organ
I hear it fine
Looks like a helmet on he swede
Magic mushroom 🍄 head… I ate loads at the time 🥴
Epic band, but wtf is with that haircut 😂😂😂😂
They dont really get the crowd going here.
Stole many notes from Hush, I hope Deep Purple is getting royalties.
That comparison never occurred to me before, but yeah, you`re quite right!!
Yes, you're right.
53 year old men should pay heed to Burgess’ style: do not chase youth. Glastonbury 2019 sucked. Tired bands, fractured audiences, and boring songs.
Wow this is bad, timing is off, slowed down, and the vocals sound like a drunk dude at a karaoke bar. Great song back in the 90's but this just butchered it all to hell.
It was trash already in the ninetees.
Dreadful vocal
It’s unique
Dreadful comment
So is it a wig or what?
Mickey mouse mushrooms 🍄
Autotune required
i love this band but mate needs to lay off the cigs or give his voice a rest lol
What's going on with his hair, and the outfit? He sounds like like a big baby,or a clown.
