Were the Dodgers bad for baseball in 2022 when we bounced them from the playoffs after they win 111 games? Were they bad for baseball when we had a 2-1 lead on them in the NLDS with a chance to close out the series at home? We taunted them mercilessly for not winning a REAL championship since 1988. And their Mickey Mouse ring. What did all that spending they do have to do with us choking and going 24 scoreless innings? Do we not have 7 players with 9 figure salaries? What other small market team can say this? Are we bad for baseball too? Before you whine about no TV deal the Diamondbacks don’t have be either. Yet they were in the WS 2 years ago and they signed Corbin Burnes this offseason. Who have we signed as a free agent? Anger is the cousin of ENVY.

Intro is (kinda) back! Edit: Why is Ted Lasso saying the draft is where all the best talent is? The Dodgers are the best team in baseball history and have 1 homegrown player (Will Smith). The draft is essentially a crapshoot. Mike Trout was drafted 25th overall. Picks 2-5 that year were Dustin Ackley, Donovan Tate, Tony Sanchez, and Matt Hobgood. Picking early in the draft is definitely an advantage, but the MLB draft isn’t the same as the other 3 NA leagues. MLB isn’t the same as the other 3 leagues because there’s no Salary Cap, so where you get the best players is by spending the most money, not the draft. What the good teams (Dodgers) do is wait until those drafted players age up and then just pay them more than the team that drafted them. That doesn’t exist in the other leagues. The Maple Leafs aren’t spending $100 million more per year than Nashville, even though they’re fully capable of doing so. They’re not able to just pay more for Auston Matthews, they actually did have to draft him first overall.
The dodgers need to sign more pictures because it's a guarantee. 100% chance that 3 of their starters will get hurt during the year and one will be out for the season. They must have depth. A good portion of their starting pitchers are injury PRONE.
If the argument is that the poor teams legitimately can’t afford to run a competitive baseball team (I simply don’t buy it). Then what they need to do is sell those teams to people who CAN keep up. Cash out. The league has outgrown you.
Everybody's pulling for the dodgers pitchers to get hurt I got news that already happened and they still won the world series and gave the Yankees the most humiliating loss in the history of their franchise ah hahaha

At least Kirby Yates is still available for other teams to pick up. He is the best available free agent out there
You trolling right? U know good and well that the dodgers signed him today
LOL. Nicely done.
“Deliciousness of the tea and his talent” wins the Internet for the day. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What kind of sports writer talks about a baseball team scoring more "points?" Seriously?

What changed with Scott? He was a different pitcher after 2023.

These guys do more crying than one year old child 😭😭😭
if any MLB teams want to quit whining and sign a recent Cy Young Award, Trevor Bauer is available for the league minimum
All of that media attention just to pick the bandwagon option
Why should he let media attention dictate where he signs?
Don't have this guy back he sucks
