Just gotta say, I came from Cleveland yesterday and I’m in Fort Pierce. Kinda knew where you might be. Great thrill to see your boat in person. Always enjoy your videos ! Fair winds and following seas sir !
The security camera covering the back of boat and dock is likely to run down fast due to the number of people likely to pass and trigger it. They normally claim the time for quite areas. I found this and went for solar charging wifi cameras and have never had to take them down since.
Just a thought. Some boats get air pumps fitted on their boats, usually in the tender garage or thereabouts and you can use it to inflate tenders, fenders, paddle boards and all water toys like slides, donuts etc.
Great video, quick suggestion. Don't inflate your fenders completely. When you are using them to protect from the pilings they will stay in place better if they are a little soft. Just creates a little nook for the piling to rest in.
Great tip. I did just that...keep a slight "bend" in the fenders to allow the piling to do it's job. Having trouble with the wind, tho. They blow up and away easily. hmmmm. Thanks for watching.
@@thewanderinghillbilly Wow, didn't think of that! At first I was impressed and wanted to look into those fenders. But, they advertise that they are MUCH lighter than regular fenders, which as you say can cause issues in a good breeze and lift up off the dock/boat. The heavy ones stay put.
Living vicariously through you via these videos is great, thanks for posting and sharing! I am looking forward to seeing your trip to the Bahamas and beyond. Great choices on the furniture, looks fantastic.
Hi, I’m a fellow Californian with a boat in Florida. We looove the bahamas. Wanted to recommend these underwater scooters you can buy from Costco online. Adults or kids can use them. The $1000 ones work better than the $750 ones. They are a much cheaper version of the sea bobs everyone has out there that cost 13k or so. I and my kids really enjoy them. The exumas are our fav. Enjoy it!
I seen on one channel where the have a clamp on stainless wires that stick up and move around with the wind to keep the birds from roosting on your hand rails, removable when the boat is in use!
I have flexiteak - guy who installed said to use purple power cleaner (amazon) I scrub the heck out of it, let it sit for 20-w-minutes scrub it again - then i bought a tiny little pressure washer (amazon-made by sun-joe like 80 bucks) and I have it turned down to about 500psi and i pressure wash it. If all that fails - 60 grit sandpaper
Great content on you Channel. Please keep the vids coming. Now that you have had the Tesla star link system for some months now, can you comment on the speed and connectivity along the intercoastal and down in the BVI. Best,
Really enjoying your channel and your life story. Are you still directing “The Voice”? My wife and I absolutely love that show, especially Blake’s antics. Gonna miss that guy.
A. In reference to the bird situation you might want to consider buying a couple of fake owls. put 2 in the fly bride 1 fore and 1 aft and then one at the bow area and one in the aft cockpit area. this might keep the birds away. B. Aquila needs to re-design their Air Conditioner distribution system. They need to come up with rails across the celling to distribute the air flow evenly across the salon and fly bridge. Aquila should be embarrassed that you have to get a fan to distribute the AC air flow in your salon so you don't have to sweat your balls off after spending a hefty amount for this boat.. I hope they take this seriously and correct the issue. The Leopard 53 power cat has done a great job with AC air flow distribution system in the salon... Perhaps Aquila should take notes and learn from this. Safe travels!
Is there a lemon law on new boats? Seems like a lot of problems that dealer or factory should pay for and some freebies thrown in for putting up with it.
This boat does not help my obsessive personality. It is absolutely beautiful. I have found myself looking for aquilas for sale and couldn't even afford the tender. Well done for being able to enjoy this lifestyle. I'm gonna stick with looking forward to watching your videos Just for that visual dream.
Had the same issue with the Arlo cameras. We ordered the power cords for constant 110 power supply. Obviously that's not ideal when you're underway but since your main purpose is for security while you are not on board it might be the answer. The cords are easily removed.
B.O.A.T. = Break Out Another Thousand. Nice video showing that there is more to owning a boat then putting the hammer down and racing across the water. Maybe you can amplify that with a video of washing the boat? Keep those videos coming.
There's various designs for various uses, but every boat shoe foremost is non-marking! Don't ever get on someone's boat without a non-marking sole! Some drain water out the bottom of the sole or side. Then there's traction, which fades quickly if you wear them off the boat.
The question I keep asking myself.. this boat is not hull number 1? And you paid a great deal for this boat! These leaks and water issues cannot be just on your boat! You would think they would have known about these issues and fixed them before you flooded your boat. Any good AC company would have known that you have to insulate pipping why would not a million dollar boat manufacturer not know this. Kinda strange. Love your show and the boat. Keep up the great work.
Hey...first, the boat wasn't flooded. Just a very small area upstairs had a small puddle that was eliminated quickly. The main issue here is quality control coming out of China and that is improving slowly but greatly. Still, MarineMax has been a CHAMP in helping me get these issues resolved and I'm happy with that. It's an amazing vessel. Thanks so much for watching!
Yeah it’s a balance. These are new boats, new designs and a company headed into new territory. the boat, in person, is far more impressive than anything I can put on video. I’ve accepted the shortcomings of the construction for the moment because the company has backed EVERY SINGLE FAULT with service. You can’t beat that. Thanks for watching.
When are you in the BVI's??? We will be there for my 60th B-Day March 4th to the 11th. If, by some chance, you are able and/or willing we would love to share a painkiller or two on me!! Or, since I saw your liquor collection, we would love to offer you a better Scotch than Dalmore. Not that I'm judging (JUDGING!) Anyway, we are big fans and would love to meet up!.
Hah. i don't really drink scotch anymore and someone gave me that bottle...but I'll take a great bottle of wine!! We won't be down in the BVI until May unfortunately but happy trails and safe boating. thanks for watching.
@@thewanderinghillbilly your on!! Of course I always say to people that say "I don't like Scotch" "it's just because you haven't found a scotch that you like". Anyway.....if we ever meet up on our travels somewhere...first two bottles of wine are on me!
OK so this is just me...BUT!...why did the company that made the fenders not offer to send you the proper air pump...because they should know that your advertising for them would be priceless...maybe???...just a thought. = done :)

You are correct. Lots of foot traffic just wears them out. I'm in a busy spot in this marina. Thanks so much for watching.
WAIT a minute @1:20 ...your moving to the Bahamas!!??!!!...DUDE!!...I love it.
Just a thought. Some boats get air pumps fitted on their boats, usually in the tender garage or thereabouts and you can use it to inflate tenders, fenders, paddle boards and all water toys like slides, donuts etc.
Yes its a manual pump…so it’s a great backup…I’m too old to manually pump anything unless I have to! Thanks for watching.
@@thewanderinghillbilly Ha, ha. I thought they were press a button ones. I couldn't be bothered with manual either.

Starlink has been amazing. Only lose it when I travel more than 10knots. Although they just upped my monthly to 250 cause they know I’m on a boat!

Yes and shooting season 23 this week! Thanks for watching both the show and this channel.

Where did you get the chairs? They are beautiful!

Badass shoes! What makes them "boat shoes"? Do you just decree it and so it is?

last 14 digits exp and security code are showing of your credit card. I would edit immediately.
I have. thank you!
Nice. Love me some Popeye's!
There is always something to fix, wash or maintain on boats, but that doesn't stop us. Ain't it fun? 😀
Crazy, right?? Whenever I get home, I immediately miss being back on the damn boat. Even tho it always costs me more money! lol. Thanks for watching.
Do you ever need help or anything with the boat? I'm looking to help out to get some sea time
There’s a waiting list! Lol. Thanks for watching
acetone will take ANYTHING off.....just gotta protect it right after with wax or formula 303 or something like that
Surf board = skeg.

I have an Aquila 36 and the build quality is cheap and poor for a quite an expensive boat. Definitely won’t buy another as not built to last.
