Agree po ako jan. Mababa po ang gastos if you are away from the cities. Same here I lived in an isolated area in BC and the closest small town is approx. 2 - 3 hrs ang layo sa amin. The biggest city is approx. 6 hrs away. And I am the only filipino din po dito.

In my opinion, if can afford it you are still better off buying a house. Although the cost of keeping the house will be higher, you building equity and the value of the house in going up. Renting is money to the drain. My two cents.
