Great memories of this town. I was here from January 1959 till July 1962. I have a picture of my brother standing outside the market and some 8mm movie film of sports day at deCarteret College also. Many happy times were had in Jamaica, Newport, Mandeville, May Pen, Alligator Pond, etc. Best wishes from Rugby, England.

OMG!!! THE ROADS ARE ATROCIOUS!!! The roads look like it might be the worst I've seen in many years. I did see worse in Savana-lamar. I was there and the road looked like it was hit by rockets, unbelievable. I want to move back but things like this could change my mind. I just can drive on those roads now. No special driving skills here. 😰😥😢😭. Thanks for posting this.❤

On my first visit to Jamaica the pot holes struck me, some big enough to swallow a small car. I was joking with my Jamaican friends about doing a photography book dedicated to your prime minister Andrew Holness titled The Potholes of Jamaica. I've been back many times, next time I just might start the project.
