Running for your life, you dash into a small cave entrance, sliding in on time. You hear the monster bang on the wall, but that isn't the worst part. You see something horrific. Something that you wish you have now never seen, the corpse of a person, who is in the flame worshipper armor. You think, who made the flame worshipper armor, and who made it to layer 3.. Pleeksty. You walk near him, hoping for at least one sign of life. You see movement, and his hand create a massive sword that you can wield with the letters "FIGHT" on it. This is your chance. Now is the time, and you must not waste it. As you hear the monster trying to break through the wall, anxiety fills you even more. The cracks in the wall getting larger, until the wall caves in, and you see the monster, yet something is off. The atmosphere, the ambience of the wind and snow. The thoughts running through your head, the anxiety, how did this happen, is there any chance to go back? Your sword ignites with a flame, lighting up the place. Something is different, but all you know is that you must fight for the sake of your rogue personality. Your rogue lineage.

Along with hopefully neither our souls become locked to this place... May the ones who remain continue to venture and become stronger, adapt. contrary to some of these comments, pleetsky is actually probably alive certainly missing, but he ate a piece of Korilfiend, the drowned god of heat of layer 3. so he's speculated to be somewhat of a 'demigod' now. it remains to be told if he is doing well, but he probably is alive
I'm truly fascinated by the layers, because according to the official deepwoken wiki lore page, we only know that there is *at least* 3 layers. And I may be insane, but I remember reading somewhere that Pleeksty, upon reaching layer 3, resulted in transcending with god-like abilities or something.

At the end of the hallway, you come into what appears to be a ballroom of grandeur and great significance, like one fit for a true king. You take a few steps inside, only for something to stomp its way towards you from behind the stage ahead. You duck behind a pillar, barely peeking out to see what it was. The curtains bust open, revealing a beast only described as nightmare fuel. This looked like a Megalodaunt, but it was far older and more savage than you remembered. It featured two rows of teeth, a back of spikes and coral, it had twice the amount of eyes a normal Megalodaunt had, and its claws were refined to the point where you could use it as a weapon alone. The beast stares deeply into the ballroom, somehow not noticing you, and then returns back behind the curtains. You breathe a sigh of relief and continue on to the left. After walking a few minutes, you come across another hallway with writing marked all on the walls. Some of it was easy enough to understand, like "GET OUT", or "IF YOU HEAR A SCREAM, HIDE SOMEWHERE WHERE IT WON'T BE ABLE TO GET TO." There were other, more cryptic messages on the wall, like "I came looking for answers, and instead I found questions" and "Light is my enemy, darkness is where I reside." Runes could also be seen on the walls, and touching them made you feel more powerful, at a cost of what was left of your sanity." "You walk down a bit and smell the rancid stench of death. You gag, but you had smelt this stench one too many times before, and quickly get over it. Opening the door, you find a corpse of what appears to be a Diver. You conclude this is Pleeksty, but then remember the description the Ignition Union gave you, and they don't line up. You check for the suit markings, knowing it's standard for every Diver to have them. After a little searching, you read the name "Akira." Your heart races, you try to calm yourself, saying it's a different Akira, but then start to see the connections between them. The similarities, despite this Diver being half-decayed, are still there."
Adding this here due to character limit: None of this is fact, or even a headcanon I came up with, I just tried to make a neat story of what Layer 3 does and how it might affect people. If the Depths draws out the Song within everyone, then I believe the deeper you go, the more Song it draws out, meaning the stronger you become. As for the Akira thing, I feel like since Akira can afflict you with SO MUCH Insanity your head explodes, there has to be a link to that and a deeper layer of the Depths. I just chose that link to be that Akira got so powerful, he was able to sacrifice his mortal body to train his skills, making him a freed vessel if that makes sense. Instead of having no soul, his soul is the only thing that's left of him after he disregarded his corpse.

i think that an erie theme fits the depths better overall but at the same time this can fit well as the music when you encounter a monster in the depths
Pleeksty is the only person that have reached Third Layer of Depths, nobody even knows if He found any exit or any gate, but we have to wait untill He back or we discover what He have left.

If I’m right pleeksty gain Immense power from layer 3 so I doubt he died but I think rather happen is that he went deeper to the point that communication is impossible
Honestly my headcannon for pleeksty is that, even though his life was always at risk, sought knowledge even if it resulted in his death. Pleeksty found the entrance to layer 3, and instead of making the sane decision to go back up, kept plunging down into the depths for knowledge at the cost of his mind and body. He could very well be a god residing in the deepest layer and we may never know. Despite him being a madman, he is one of and probably is the most intelligent and strongest mortal man to exist to this day

probably my least favourite of the three layer tracks due to the lack of recognisable dread from the previous layers, but what you intend to convey is done so with aplomb, very well done
