I felt like this when I started a new job. It was an all-female staff and from the beginning, i felt the dynamic was off. They would invite everyone in the spa to parties and bars and I would have to hear about it all the time because i was never invited. I was being myself and I'm very nice... I didn't know what I did wrong. My sales started going up and then i felt the hate brewing more. One of the girls sent me home while closing, and the next day I got chewed out because the closing was a disaster and i closed everything "wrong". She blamed me for everything. I am a very well-spoken woman; never in my life has anyone called me ghetto because people love to called me white washed. The manager said i scared off a customer because of my ghetto behavior. My manager asked me to stay longer one day and i said okay. Until i had a family emergency and asked to leave 30 minutes earlier. She said "okay that's fine". Next day i come into work i got the silent treatment. she pulled me in the office and said "the way you left me alone was disrespectful and you lied".... i stayed quiet the whole time. I then told her " if this is such a problem why did you say yes"..... she said she didnt want to look at me anymore and sent me on break. i got in my car, cried, and sent a long message to the group about my treatment. I then drove off and never came back. For the longest i felt like i was the problem but if you feel like your being bullied...just leave. you dont need to prove anyone anything. I got a better job to help my career and im happy.
