I faced this issue for a long time watching my mother be physically assaulted by my father from a very young age. When i took a stand for her, he disowned me. I have tried having a conversation with him but he has no remorse rather feels proud of what he has done. Moreover, he cut off funding for my education and didn't even offer me food( till date ). He never let my mother work and till date has not supported her financially. I regret that my father and I would never find peace. I am 25 now, i make good money and support my mother. Every once in a while I have an episode of PTSD but i power through. I don't ask for help as i never see myself as a victim. I feel sad though, I wish he could see the bigger picture.
