I think 5sos should be more in magazines like these than in little kids pop magazines really. In my opinion ,they're not meant for younger kids and they're not a boy band okay(don't argue with me)!!!! They don't want to be another one direction, they're much more different than that!!! Theyre pop punk!!!!

I think people should stop being so judgy and give them an actual chance.I mean just try to listen to other songs other than 'She looks so perfect' like 'Rejects','Social Casualty','End up here' :) They are more pop-rock there's no way you can deny that.

all you know about those people is what they wrote on those comments. nothing else. they could be the perfect girl for michael but since neither me nor you know anything about them you better not try to act like you do lol
yes by watching this video you can't tell if you and michael could work but as a fan who's been a fan for a while, and since the boys are really open with us, i can tell with which boy i could actually be in a good relationship with even tho it will never happen.
for example my favorite is ash but i know we could never work because we are so different. but through the years ive been a fan i realized that michael and me do indeed have a lot in common and would actually be a great couple. but who knows? i might be wrong. we will never know. but if people want to ship themselves with their fave who are you to stop them? :)

5SOS will become huger in the music industry. they're bringing back the music that everyone would listen to in 2007, instead of this crap we hear today. they're starting a revolution, hence "the new broken scene".
Glad to see the feedback on this video is more positive then the AP videos, if people would actually look into their music & discover that "She Looks So Perfect" isn't their only song, I think they'd gain more respect & be known as "Pop Punk".
I honestly believe half of their hate & Boy Band crap comes from the wrong publicity. They shouldn't be in kid gossip magazines (Popstar, Tiger Beat, Bop, ect.), they shouldn't be played on Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, & they shouldn't be played on half the radio stations they're on. The channels & stations only play "She Looks So Perfect" half the time, which has more of a Pop vibe, but not enough to be 100% Pop, causing the Boy Band accusations.
Some of the themes in their lyrics I personally don't think are for kids, no they don't swear but the subjects are a bit hard for kids to understand & I think they're too young. The music video for "She Looks So Perfect" is being played on Disney Channel for kids, the video consists of several people, varied in age, exposing their underwear. Disney should know better & stick with their actors/actresses that they always turn into singers.
Once this all settles down, they'll be known in the way they want to be known. I'm so proud of them, & how much they've achieved.

I love 5SOS so damn much and I think they do belong in Rock Sound.
However, I do believe that if it was All Time Low that had discovered them and took them on tour, they would be more respected in the rock genre. I personally do not like One Direction anymore.
If 5SOS toured with ATL, they would've been more popular in this music scene. That's all I've got to say.
I can agree with that, I think even though I'm not a huge 5sos fan I feel that they are more Pop Punk then pop/boyband. And yeah them being discovered by 1D will make it a lot harder to get the respect they need on the side of the music scene, then if they were discovered by a Pop Punk band. But either way I hope they go far cause they actually do have talent.

exactly. people perceive them as a boyband because they were discovered by one direction. people say "if they were rock or punk, they wouldnt have toured with one direction" but if they were offered an opportunity of a life time, do you really think that theyd stop to think about the type of genre people would see them as because of it? i seriously doubt it. theyre just 4 guys making music, they probably dont care much about what genre people think they are

I agree. They aren't heavy. Heavy is...Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Metallica, Halestorm. 5sos isn't really....heavy or "hard rock" i'd say they are punk rock or pop rock but i still really love them

I've heard Rejects. It's a great song I love it. It's still not considered heavy in my opinion. It is one of their "heavier" or more "rock" sounding songs. It is a great song though. Listen to I Miss The Misery by Halestorm. I freakin love that song and it's considered hard rock. It's really great although it might not be for you. But please don't hate on me. I really love 5sos. One of my favorite bands.
