Edit: Shot timing meter has to be atleast at 1 for anyone wondering. 0 turns it off. Appreciate the vid. I downloaded your roster and sliders. Is there a way to fix the meter? I like to play with it on but using the Shady setup turns it off during the game even though I have it on in the controller settings.
That is intentional, I was telling the other guy in the comments that obviously you can use whatever you want but the set is made and tested strictly for Real Shooting % and if you don't use it your results may vary! I just don't want a bunch of people saying "oh these suck" because they turned on a setting that the set wasn't made for!
@ShadyMike I gotcha. It still works great with user shooting. The only thing people probably wouldn't like with user shooting on is that the three point timing is tight unless the shot impact and maybe three success is tweaked. I like it though. All the other pluses with the settings out weight that for me. More help defense, more put backs, self rebounds, role players stepping up, less forcefield defense, ect.
is anyone else having the problem where the ai will help in the worst scenarios? basically leaving someone open in the corner to help defend the pick and roll when the screen hasnt even been set yet. and just double teaming in the worst way, leaving someone wide open in the paint. i uploaded both the sliders and roster directly and did the defensive and coach settings. Dont know why thats happening.
Make sure you set everything up correctly because that's not been my experience in the several extended gameplay clips I've posted, 2K's help system is bugged and this may happen once a game? Maybe once every 2? But it's not at the point where it was problematic for me. Also be careful if you as a user are leaving your man because that will cause the CPU to try and help thinking you got beat just a suggestion not sure if that's actually what's happening. Worst case scenario you can turn the defensive settings to "no help" on cutter, pick and roll etc.
@shadymikegaming how do you feel about changing lineup performance factors for the cpu to like 75 or higher ?? I think that’s a realistic setting because the better you play the longer you’ll stay in or the better you perform the more you play etcc . I think that’s a sneaky setting nobody talks about enough

I suggest to eveyone using these sliders to tweak them a little depending of what team your using and your skills, for example in Mynba. Yes, CPU outscore the hell out inside the box. I lower it some point, it's crazy but thats 2K, doesn't fix that. This a good start for you to tweak them a little bit. The boxing out is a problem too, guys staring at it.. i suggest box strenght out at 60. On ball defense at 0, it is not for me. Everyone passes through you so easily attacking the basket. For me is 50. I might not to be too skill about it. Boost some points for your user your midrange an 3points and you might want to lower a little bit offensive consistency for the CPU, as well as cpu shooting. They had incredible runs, and you "can't" do nothing about it. But these sliders are a good option to get a more enjoyable gameplay for sure. Thank you Shady.
Shady, in your beta testing for Current Gen you recommended setting the Off-Screen Shot Three (T/OSS3PT) to a lower limit of 50. Do you still recommend this?

I've always struggled to make sure that during seasons/playoffs, CPU-controlled teams finished matches with real stats... let me explain, I'd like to make sure that franchise players practically always ended up being the best scorers on their team game after game. Do you understand? I don't want to see that, for example, in a Nuggets match, Aaron Gordon ends up with double the number of shots attempted compared to Jokic ... Do you have a way to fix this?
Hey, remember the NBA 2K21 Enhanced Court Depth mod? I've applied it to the courts you suggested and it significantly improves the graphics, along with the other mods you use. I have also suggested it to the guy who made the courts. I hope you give it a shot as well.

Thank you for this Shady! been using your sliders ever since past 2ks. i had to test out a few games and i was just wondering what triggers the jumpshot fouls, ive tried contesting/running and blocking shooters jumpshots but it seems like i could not get it to trigger. (playing at old gen PC)
They aren't common, sometimes you can get them by pushing the right stick forward after getting the CPU to bite on a pump fake. Sadly that's game design and nothing that can be impacted by sliders.

Its much smoother. I am only offline player. I think I will wait if 2K25 is next gen on PC, but If not I am buying Series S. What do you think?

Yeah so kinda what I was saying on the stream I made that spreadsheet back in like September/October so 90% of the links were dead / out of date I was going through and updating the links but I took a break to get these sliders done, back to that now and hopefully it will be done soon, when it is ill drop it with the next modding showcase.

Some feedback for the sliders: The CPU is too good at contested close shots imo. Towns, Gobert and Reid practically do not miss around the rim no matter how well you contest the shot. Also im seeing too many moving screen calls against me. Like 3-4 a game, but maybe im moving too early with the ball. While the CPU almost brver gets called formoving screens. Ortherwise i really like the sliders. On a more personal opinion, PJ Washingtons's defense in the roster is way too low. He has like 50 perimeter defense and very low inside defense and strength, while he was locking up KD and SGA in the regular season and KAT couldnt score against him in the post in the playoffs.

About PJ Washington, you can give him a defensive boost by editing his atributes. Other issue but thats 2k is the boxing out, players staring at a defensive rebound... lol. You can give it a boost in the option "boxing out strength".
This is intentional. I researched and tried to match actual NBA paint shooting % and it's actually pretty sky high, guys like Giannis were shooting 77% this is to incentivize you the user to double and prevent guys from establishing deep post positioning, and to boost CPU 2nd chance points. Feel free to adjust to your liking.
These are bad my league will never be realistic. League average over 50% fg , got players shooting over 45% 3 pt , some players averaging around 55+ % fg unrealistic. Should be around 45 %
