- in this video i will be applying a @Cerakote ceramic headlight restoration kit to my g35 project to get a new look out of my headlights and boy i would have to say it worked well only time will tell how long they will last!!
I went and grabbed this from Walmart after watching your video. Glad I came across your video and demonstration. My headlights look great now. Thanks for posting!!
I had just used the Sylvania car headlight restoration kit. That includes a compound rub/lotion you use before the UV coating. It has 300, 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper. The compound rub is just like the 3M Compound I've used soley on my headlights. The big difference is the UV coating, that makes it very clearly and nice looking.
Finally welcoming 3 days of warm temps and no rain, will be doing the restore today or tomorrow, maybe see if 1 box will do 4 headlights, I have two Fords identical, thx for the advice
Can you explain more about what chemicals you use in the APC etc. What do you recommend? Especially for the final step before ceramic coating. Thanks in advance. Great video!
APC (All Purpose Cleaner) is La's Totally Awesome. Dollar Store has it for $1.25. It is indeed awesome. BTW IPA is Isopropyl Alcohol.

The headlights are originally not too bad! Can I first clean with soap and water, or use a metal polish before using the kit?
I use compound you know that the surface of a headlights were sprayed on with clear coat so imagine if it was paint but would you do you better off and you have them supplies at your house everyone who owns a car has wax All I'm trying to say is you don't have to buy anything if you already have it I use compound and it works very well

The step 1 chemical wipe comes with several wipes. Use them all as the directions state. You will get even better results. He only used one and got good results. Also, I would sand horizontally. The final coat will adhere better. Good luck.
I would use some gdw then some rtp. dont finish before a gallon of mpq then some zki. finish with alphabet soup.

@LabWorksAutoDetail it last about acouple months about 6 months then it goes back to yellow.

@@ABGG55 no because the 3m restore kit leaves scratches this does nor. Just goes back to yellow but could be easily cleared without needing to do the sanding step the second time you do this process

This kit is terrible. The initial results were great for me but they didn't last even 1 year for 2 cars used it on.
