@PAUL MH Most definitely due to licensing agreement issues with their likeness, more specifically failing to secure them to begin with. They have made great progress in this regard with their Alien line for example, so it could happen in future.

Yeah i wish they would have had the undamaged Robocop figure with this seat monitoring set since i don't like the damage look on Robocop. However its a awesome looking piece 👍 Great unboxing video as always Spot 😁👏
While having the new Robocop in hand I noticed NECA changed the rings on his shoulders in the new version, they are smaller now and less prone to bending
The battled damaged Robocop is nice by itself. However, the inclusion of the chair makes the ultimate version a worthy purchase. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another great video! I really appreciate it! God bless and stay safe!
Can you help me out spot? Does the piston from single release battle damage the same as the ultimate & the chair set? As I broke my ultimate piston, planned to swap it with that version. Thanks
I believe it is, I don't think NECA retooled any of the pistols different from the many Robocops that they released I think they're all exactly the same
oh well pistons I would guess would be kept the same, I don't suspect they've done much re tooling on these figures from the original ones that had produced before
Dead or alive this toy is coming with me I have the neca robo but I don't want this I only want Ed and cain which I plan to get next year also getting a replica robo prop helmet and getting the gun prop aswell
I have the standalone Ultimate RoboCop and have my eye on this (33% off rrp at my go to store at the moment) but agree entirely that this set should contain the 'clean' figure, with the battle-damage as the standalone. It would make more sense for the battle damage version to have the Cobra assault rifle too. Having a couple of jars of baby food is a great shout too. Anyway, another good review, I'm probably going to pick up this set at the Black Friday price, and much as I have a soft spot for RoboCop 2, the original is still my favourite.
In the first movie RoboCop is never seen without the helmet until he is severely damaged so it makes sense. An interesting idea about a grimaced expression for an alternate head. It's a good figure but Neca did drop the ball in a few areas, especially the very poor elbow articulation they never bothered to address despite releasing the figure multiple times
What annoys me a bit about this figure is that with so many years that have passed since its first release, the joints have not improved. It is a bit frustrating that it is the same figure as 5 years ago.
@@atsylor5549The legs are fine, but the elbows are very bad, it's impossible recreate the majority of his most iconic poses. It's bizarre they didn't address this in the so-called Ultimate release.
Spot I think the auto nine was painted black in the original production of the first RoboCop. I could be wrong there could’ve been some details that I missed but all I know is that it was painted black.
Is it just me, or is the older battle damaged figure more chunky and better proportioned than this new release? This new one looks smaller in stature and a bit off.
I haven’t watched robocop in a while but I’m prerty sure after he got ambushed and really beat up that he was put in the chair to make emergency repairs and save him right before he went head hunting g at OCP headquarters
I stumbled across six of these in my local Target last night while looking for something else. I still have the FIRST RoboCop that NECA made (it's surprisingly held up well for being 10+ years old), so that's the one sitting on the chair in my display. Seeing as how the joints remained unchanged, it sits identically to the newer ones. The unmasked Murphy is on the battle damaged figure. The Weller likeness is fantastic, but the only thing that bothered me was the paint application. With the figure in-hand, the suit didn't look grimy enough. Easy fix though. Small jar of black acrylic paint from Target, paper towels, small cup of water for diluting the paint = very "put through the ringer" appearance that still keeps the metallic sheen but looks like there's some level of dirt or oil all over. All in all, it was a much more worthwhile purchase than the clean Ultimate RoboCop figure.
Those wires dont have to be real working ones. The boxes could be operated with small watch batteries so that they individually glow with a click of a switch.
Good review. Useful information that helps me figure out which version suits me best after the Classic Holster Robocop from the first movie. And yeah, the grimacing Robocop head would have been great for this set.
I don’t own this figure, yet. But just easily popped the head off my Robocop vs Terminator Robocop figure and fingers crossed the Murphy head will fit nicely there as well! I might buy some additional copies of the heads without the helmet.
I was a huge robocop fan when I was a child I've been waiting 35 years for the figures to come out I only wish they came out when the film was first released that would have been awesome
The battle damage and helmet-less features are for the fans who know that Robocop is a story about human being turned into a capitalist Frankenstein, and not a heroic feel-good film about being a robot cop.

Great NECA FIGURED ROCOP AND OH MORE NECA REVIEW @
Great review spot 👌 just to point out if you heat the foot rest it does slide up and down also the head rest moves up and down on two bars
i just wish Neca would make CAIN and clarence with the gang
That would be a dream come true to have a villians line. Its the reason this line got boring.
@PAUL MH Most definitely due to licensing agreement issues with their likeness, more specifically failing to secure them to begin with. They have made great progress in this regard with their Alien line for example, so it could happen in future.
Yes !!!
Hiya Toys do 1:18cain Figure i highly reccommend him

This fker is expensive 😢 really expensive 😢
🗳 The Video Great Debate Question is? - Robocop vs Terminator? Who would win?
Robocop
Terminator
Robocop is got my vote, easily one of my favorite comic crossovers! Would love for them to revisit it or do a tie breaker.
Terminator
Terminator but only just
RoboCop
I just purchased the ED 209 & THIS ONE WITH TO THE CHAIR
❓ Video Question -Which is your Favourite Robocop Film?
Let me know in the comments below.
Nothing beats the original.
The original
Robocop 1/2 for me 3was terrible
While having the new Robocop in hand I noticed NECA changed the rings on his shoulders in the new version, they are smaller now and less prone to bending
I'll be getting this set tomorrow...🤘🏼💯✔️
the maint different is the the "clip" in the upper shoulder , the new one is shorter because the old one way to flimsy and tend to broke
Really needs a tin of baby food accessorie
The battled damaged Robocop is nice by itself. However, the inclusion of the chair makes the ultimate version a worthy purchase. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another great video! I really appreciate it! God bless and stay safe!

Hoping it has the same the silver paint/finish
I believe it is, I don't think NECA retooled any of the pistols different from the many Robocops that they released I think they're all exactly the same
@@TheReviewSpot I was reffering to the "Pistons", not "Pistol", I'm assuming you misread. Still appreciate the helps & reply btw🙏
oh well pistons I would guess would be kept the same, I don't suspect they've done much re tooling on these figures from the original ones that had produced before
I have the clean RoboCop displayed as well as the battle damaged with unmasked head displayed together
Dead or alive this toy is coming with me I have the neca robo but I don't want this I only want Ed and cain which I plan to get next year also getting a replica robo prop helmet and getting the gun prop aswell
🤣😂🤣
Yeah I dont care for the fact that he doesn't sit well in the chair. It looks too goofy imho.
its almost like they needed to have rebuilt his lower torso with new articulation to accommodate him sitting in the chair
I really wish NECA would have adjusted the articulation in the hips and knees so RoboCop could correctly sit in the chair.

It’s not a big deal with this figure to me because robocop was just slightly more nimble than Jaba the Hut to begin with.

Seems like an odd choice to not match the figure to the picture on the monitor.
The legs are too skinny and the feet are too big

I love the film and this
Pretty lazy release from NECA.
awesome video spot thank u so much
Thanks again for stopping by and checking out the video elliott, think you might pick this one up for your collection?

The boxes could be operated with small watch batteries so that they individually glow with a click of a switch.
BTW I don't think NECA did Peter Weller justice, it looks more like Robert John Burke :(
Mafex does arobocop 1figure with jars of babyfood included
Good review. Useful information that helps me figure out which version suits me best after the Classic Holster Robocop from the first movie. And yeah, the grimacing Robocop head would have been great for this set.
I remember the first RoboCop figure I got. His leg broke off and I had to return that. I did eventually get a replacement that was fine.
I don’t own this figure, yet. But just easily popped the head off my Robocop vs Terminator Robocop figure and fingers crossed the Murphy head will fit nicely there as well!

Reminds me of in between RoboCop 2 and 3 RoboCop lol darn. Its nice though.
Agree with the “clean look” Murphy to display.

exactly
very very cool
Head rest goes up.
"With chair"
sorry?
Awesome
Great review
the proportion of the figure is not correct.
I like robocop 3 movie more than robocop 1 and 2
really huh? how come? just curious
Drugs are bad!!
@@TheReviewSpot I dont know, I just do. It got more soul and hero flavor
@@ConradProteus The first one is the best. Followed by the second one then the third one.
@@TheReviewSpot😂
Thé chair makes this a good set.
