    Applying Bonsai pruning principles to my garden trees has made serious improvements. My only advice is "do it over a few days" because "one cut was good, perhaps two will be better" can go too far :)

    Excellent exercice que celui de prendre des chutes de tailles des arbres et de les imaginer en futurs bonsaïs en respectant les règles d'harmonie visuelles dans l'art du bonsaï,car en effet chaque branche,chaque rameau ,peut être considéré comme un arbre!👏😉👍

    Hi Peter, I was curious how you prevent pine tree bonsai from die back. This is when the leaves fall off and branches die. This happens when I apply wire or prune branches. Thank you so much.

    • @peterchan3100
      @peterchan3100 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Die back only happens of branches that get no light but otherwise they are very sturdy trees.

    • @digitaIgorilla

    • @scheers100
      @scheers100 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on the species and season, this can be weeks to years I believe. Just monitor regularly for wire bite, especially with deciduous trees this can go very fast and you don’t want wire marks. They stay visible for a long time. When you have a gnarly pine, wire marks can help to reinforce the gnarly design. I hope this helped you a little bit. Good luck and enjoyment with your tree adventures

    • @andreasweber1533
      @andreasweber1533 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Until the branch has taken a set, or until they dig into the bark unacceptably, whatever comes first. How long that is depends on the plant, anywhere from three weeks to several years.
