Hunter, as someone who has been off and on the carnivore diet, this is what I would say. Tune out all the noise and focus on what actually makes you feel good. I love carbs, enjoying food with friends and on vacation, and I love alcoholic beverages. But having done it a few times now, I know that I sleep soundly, have no cravings, and pretty much heal all my physical issues when I am on carnivore. I still struggle with everything regarding this diet, including outside noise. Everyone has an opinion. I am medical so it is even more amplified. If I could give you any encouragement it would be to just follow what your body tells you is right for you. F the rest!
And do research! Knowledge is power. When people criticize my decisions I'm always empowered when I have data that supports my decisions. Most those people don't even have counter arguments. I'm not carnivore, in-fact I'm pescatarian because of my gastroparesis 😂 but generally speaking!
I could literally watch 30 minutes of straight video of Smokey playing, eating and talking. That baby is such a joy to watch. He’s getting more expressive and even crawling now! 👼

Our baby was the EXACT same way with food! We just kept trying and being consistent with giving him food to try and finally, a switch flipped around 11-11.5 months where he showed a real interest and a hunger for food and had no problem swallowing and chewing all varieties of food!
I CANNOT with how cute yall are with dealing with your baby 😂 parenthood is a journey and I love the way you do it, gives me a good laugh when you react to things he does 🥰

I have 3 autoimmune diseases and started carnivore at the begining of the year. I’m discovering that I may have to go all the way lion diet because Ive found I can’t eat dairy or eggs either. I’m so much better in many ways but I especially like my increased energy and clarity!!

Hi Julia & Hunter! When I was little I had a ton of texture issues - one thing my parents did was give me smoothies or soups and they found I ate more types of foods. Not sure if this would apply for Smoke but figured I would share in case it is helpful at all.

Smoke is the cutest!!! Have yall thought about getting him a little walker? My boys LOVED a walker and it’s so funny watching them scoot all over! I think he’s about the age that he’d enjoy it, or a Johnny jumper if you have a good doorway-maybe by the kitchen would be a good place! I’m going to be very curious how the carnivore diet helps with your inflammation Hunter! I have two autoimmune diseases so I totally understand how you feel, it’s one of those things where you don’t look like you’re sick or in pain but you very much are. You guys should also look into beeswax candles. Especially for booker and smoke! Standard Candles are super toxic when burned.
Girl i feel you on the baby eating journey and comparing to other babies on Instagram! It makes me feel so much better to hear about your journey and that every baby is different! My girl is at the same point as Smoke - mostly sucking on food and not really swallowing!

Honey, i have 3 designer wallets, u use 1 and keep the other 2 in my walk in, i then keep this one wallet with everything in and just change bags which are also on the shelves of my walk in. Just keep everything in 1 big wallet and transfer when you change bags ❤❤

Have you read the baby led weaning book? It explains why babies like the bigger chunks. It talks about development and how it relates to food. It might help answer some of your questions. I read it 11 years ago. I can't remember details.

No Smoke is doing just fine! I honestly cut things when my son up super small for him to grab and put in his mouth because bigger stuff is intimidating to grab for him and that's how we transitioned to the solids even though my son is over a year old with just one tooth lol. And still being lazy with walking no matter what. Social media definitely steals the joy sometimes! After a while when I would compare my sons eating to a kid that looked his age I would go to the account and it would turn out the kid I was watching was just a little older!

Juj- I can’t say for certain, but I would be willing to bet the babies you see on instagram that are already eating Whole Foods at 8 or 9 months attend a daycare or have siblings. They pick up a lot from watching other babies their age. For instance when it’s time to potty train, them being around other children potty training really improves the progress.

Hunter foods are good for helping inflammation but, if you have inflammation what will heal you is treating yin which means that if the go to a serious practitioner of Chinese medicine!! They will give you herbs to clear out excess heat ( inflammation) i promise you this is amazing. Love you guy’s ❤❤
Hey there , not sure you found the wallet yet but I immediately thought about the park visit yesterday with Julia and Smoke. Not sure the new diaper bag made it but if you haven’t yet checked, maybe the stroller or the diaper bag contains the wallet.
BTW, so jelly on the calm response to the missing wallet. I would be going nuts and wouldn’t be able to move on until it’s found. My husband is notorious for losing keys, wallet, and sunglasses. I, myself, have to confess to losing sunglasses and it’s always the most expensive pairs that ‘were’ my favs.
Good luck on finding that wallet.
