poor design, 10,15 this is nightmare electrical corrosion. The battery should be in the middle of the boat.

The position for the batteries is pretty common among majority of builders. I prefer them to be in the console, but I wouldn't be overly concerned with their location in this boat.

just put some silicone grease on all of the connections after you tighten them down
