Aster offical range is "in excess of 120km" in some datasheet or "In excess of 100 km" in other ones, real range it is not a public data. Maximum speed: Mach 4.5 and altitude 20 km. That is what can be found in MBDA or Eurosam websites.
Pac3 cri can be loaded up to 16 (40miles speed around Mach 4 PAC 3 mse can be loaded up to 12(75miles speed mach 4.7) (My explanation will be based on aster 30 alone might be too lengthy to go deep) While the old PAC 2 is loaded 4 max(99miles speed mach 2.5) Aster 30 (range around 150kilometer speed mach 4.5 in few seconds) Sampt has 5 launcher and 8 missiles per launcher max While patriots has 5 to 8 launcher total of over 100 PAC 3 cri Please get your information from reliable sources
I was also for the SAMP/T but its quite comparable systems even though difficult to compare :) Sweden have the GEM-T and PAC-3 MSE so its a good system. But should have got PAAC-4 to save some money! Also would be better with 360 radar. Guess it will do!

Eurosam is working on an Aster Block 2 missile designed to fly nearly four times as high at over 230,000 feet. This new hit-to-kill exo-atmospheric interceptor would be capable of smacking down hypersonic missiles and ballistic missiles traveling at seven times the speed of sound. The Block 2 would amount to a European version of THAAD, except with 360 degree instead of 120 degrees coverage. Notably, Block 2 is described as capable of intercepting “3000-kilometer range missiles,” which lies at the definitional intersection of a “medium-range” and “intermediate-range” ballistic missile. Notably, the collapse of the INF treaty has lifted the ban on Russian deployment of such weapons.
You are way off on several point, like number of missile per launcher. It depends on the missiles that are on the launcher, this varies from 4 to 16. The Aster 30 is impressive, do you know the cost? BTW, Patriot has the choice of 3 radar types like phased-array. Also the number of engagements per command post is higher than 8 Patriot. You seem to be using old specs. BUT I love the variation and effectiveness of the SAMP/T! Great collaboration between France and Italy!
there would be discussion. in the meantime, a cost analysis needs to be done. Now both systems have a big problem to cover 360 degrees you need more batteries I think. Which for example the s300s cover with 1 battery. All Soviet and Russian equipment is to be verified as real and undeclared accuracy, reliability and effectiveness, I am also referring to the s400s. Now I don't think that in the West they are not capable of making worse radars than the Soviet/Russian ones. In terms of missiles, the Franco-Italian system is very expensive. The advantage is that it seems that an architecture has been created that can be improved and updated, therefore developable over time, and it all depends on the funds of these two nations and the society mbda. if on average when we talk about a US product, we say that the budget is not a primary aspect, when we talk about European countries I would say yes.
Another aspect overseen is the operators required to man a battery. I don't know the real figures, but all defense organisations have big trouble finding personal. Currently many organisations have more systems then they can exploit. And it doesn't matter what. Infantry, engineers, medics and also people who like to work on air defense systems. You need more crewmembers per system due to the fact that in wartime it needs to work 24/7. Operators need to be paid as long as the system will be in service. Most of the time that is 30 to 40 years or longer (with midlife updates) Then becomes manpower very important. One can buy billions of material, but if one can not find motivated and suited people to operate it, it is thrown away money. And more important, when it is really needed, it is the question if you have people to run the things on a 24/7 base.
By the way military tv thank you so much for this report and video you just returned to me personally some gorgeous memories 1998 exactly idex matra defence company which was french before it became the Italian mbda and also European Aeronautic Defence and Space EADS before it became Airbus defence
It's amazing how outdated all of this information is. 90 people to operate? A Patriot battery isn't even authorized that many. And that includes all the supply, admin, maintenance, and command personnel. Patriot can only hold 4 missiles per launcher? That hasn't been the case for about 20 years now! The PAC3 interceptor enabled each launcher to hold 16. The PAC3-MSE is an even more capable interceptor, for which a single launcher can hold a combination of PAC3 and PAC3-MSE interceptors. This channel is way outdated on information! At this point, you should probably be comparing the SAMP-T to THAAD. Even THAAD has been around for more than a decade and I guarantee it's far more capable than SAMP-T. And it's proven in real world engagements.
The patriot is likley better since the kenetic interception is much better against certain types of targets. thta was found during the gulf war. there all tradeoffs.

Your judgement is based on PAC 2 The patriots now uses a newly built pac3mse and PAC 3cri with around 70miles and 40 miles respectively and new radars plus When the pac3 was used in Iraq wars it was actually an anti aircraft weapon modified to hit ballistic missile so these new ones are several times better than you think
Patriot batteries in my eyes still remain superior to it's Europe counterparts and the trust they've got for it is why it's they first deployed none soviet air defence systems to play in Ukraine 🇺🇦
What ? The SAMP-T has nothing to do with Israel, it is an industrial collaboration between France and Italy, the Aster 30 missiles being produced by the French-English company MBDA. Don't spread false statements
France has nuclear warheads that have not been battle tested, would you still think it's not dangerous ? The fact aster30 has not been battle tested doesn't mean the system isn't working, it just means France didn't have to use it...yet.
Correction. Samp/T is a system developed by Italy and France.
Il est bon de le souligner !
Yep, French radars, Italian missiles and the rest is a cooperation
