I think it’s because Crowley‘s reason for being a fallen angel is he asked too many questions. Basically he questions God’s doing, especially when it comes to hurting the humans (eg: the flood with Noah, crucifying Jesus). So the fact that Azi gives away his flaming sword to protect the humans (basically disobeying God to protect humans)? That seems to be a big thing in Crowley’s philosophy/life or whatever. But eh that’s just my guess
