No. Flap discs run at an ange. The work done will be uneven. If thats ok, then proceed. Other option for power tool is orbital sander. Manual option is sanding block
@@smartdiyer Yes.. I think flap discs are meant for sanding/polishing metal, not for concrete wall. I think velcro attachment orbital sand paper will be suitable for wall paint removal.

I was using PVA for final sharpening just after flap disc job. I personally don't recommend Angle Grinder Knife Sharpening. Better to use Carborundum Stone or Bench Grinder stone. Stone material works better than sand for sharpening

I use haxo blade and diamond cutter. You can also use wood cuter blade.
Btw, there is no problem in using abrasive disc too
