I’m a current student RN and finishing in 85 days!!! My biggest fears: 1) select all questions 2) care plans 3) IV sticks 4) PHARM!!!! Constantly study those meds as they relate to a disease process. (Especially when you go through med surg) Much easier to remember if you understand why or how it works!!!
I am going into second semester, it's been hard but I passed first semester. What gets me in regards to fear is that it seems as if everyone, instructors and past students alike, buy into passing that fear on. Why do they have to start off by saying that whatever % of students are not going to pass? Why not admit that it is hard but focus on the positive side, that studying and applying yourself will help you to get the grades needed to be successful? What I want to say to first year students is Yes, its hard. But you made it this far, you put in the work needed to get accepted into the program. They would not have accepted you if they thought you were going to fail. Apply your self, work smart and keep on going. You can do it!
Practicing makes perfect. I learn that if you don't ask the questions at the end you will look dumb. is always better to ask and look stupid, but you will walk away knowing the answer.
I just wanted to leave this comment to say thank you for this channel. I took my NCLEX yesterday and found out I passed today! Your videos were a TREMENDOUS help and I love the mnemonics that you use. The airborne chicken mnemonic helped me on several questions yesterday! Thank you, again!
CONGRATS to you! I'm so very happy for you. I'm glad that mnemonic helped you. I wish you the best in your new career as a nurse. Thank you for studying with me :)
I really appreciate your motivation, your clarity, and your motivation (oh yeah, I already mentioned that). Seriously, love your channel. Long story short, I started 11 yrs. ago for my nursing degree and got railroaded. I recently was given a second chance and I repeated A&P I & II for the simple fact that it had been a long time. I start the program in a week. Your channel has been a great find! I used it in A&P and will continue to use it during the program. THANK YOU!
i feel so much dumber in comparison to my classmates. they pull these As without reading the book or hardly studying and i’m barely passing by and doing a crap load of studying. i feel embarrassed makes me feel like i am not cut out for nursing school. i’ve passed every semester so far but i never feel smart enough compared to the others around me.
I am gonna enter my last semester next week. My excitement is virtually non existent. This major caused me to be diagnosed with anxiety and get put on medications.
Mrs. Sarah: Many inclusive of myself are heavily in your debt!!! Your genuine lamp of nursing and Christ on your nursing ministry is THICK!!! Thank you is not nearly enough..be continually blessed and keep the videos coming.
You are the best! I love your educational videos and your encouraging words!! I started this Fall going back to school for my nursing degree. During my waiting period I will definitely continue to watch your videos and take notes!! Thank you!!
Hi again Nurse Sarah, now that I've graduated and passed the NCLEX, I Still watch and enjoy your informative and motivational videos. Keep up the good work!......also, the gear you designed looks great.....especially the Testosterone shirt for me! Thanks again for helping out all us students and new Nurse grads!
This video you did shows that nursing is something you enjoy . You taking the time to express that nursing isnt easy but it is possible !! Awsome video
Can you please make a review on how to manage unconscious patients, how to initiates cpr, acls, difference of giving intervention on patients outside the hopital or inside the hospital.
Hey Sarah! I was wondering if you could talk about developing a therapeutic presence as a nurse? I am currently in nursing school, and I am trying to have a good presence with each patient I encounter to make them feel more comfortable and safe. I know that with higher nurse to patient ratios, it often limits our contact with patients and can distract us from building a therapeutic relationship. Do you have any tips on how to promote a good nurse-patient relationship right from first introduction? Thank you!
I just love your videos!! They are so helpful. Do you have a video concerning us older students? I was accepted to a rather prestigious nursing college, any advice would be appreciated! Thank you kindly.
Hello! The only video I have about older nursing students is this video: th-cam.com/video/l_SAGgRZ19A/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching, and I'm so excited for you about your nursing school journey!
I started my PN program Fall 2017. I didn’t pass Med Surg II by 0.02%. I had to sit out while my friends all graduated, but luckily, I get to rejoin this semester and start where I left off. This opportunity came sudden and I don’t have much time to review. Is there anything you recommend I do to prepare and review? I have a fear I don’t remember anything! Thank you for all the advice ❤️

I have a boss that told me I am not smart enough to become a nurse and wants me to become a med tech
My biggest fear is accidently hurting someone in clinical setting 😬
I feel like fear is the perfect motivator to work harder and keep pushing to strive for greatness.
lro001 sometimes people need to learn to control it because some people do get panic attacks that they can’t or don’t know why.

That is one of the fears I will forget everything once I’m a nurse 🤔
For the speaker in the orientation class to say something like that is very discouraging.
True, I guess it come down on how well the person takes it.
