The endless abyss scene was an end-credit scene with literally no context, no translation, and it lasted about a minute. It was put in as a teaser for season 2, but everyone who saw it was pissed as hell. Why add ten minutes of original content in the episode and then not deliver on the actual ending of the story arc? It makes no sense.
