Snapped my ACL on New years eve doing a front board, had my reconstruction op 2 weeks ago and have been told i have to wait 12 months before i skate. @kellyhart you make a great point. Injuries play a significant role in skateboarding. By talking about injuries and the recovering process, we help to motivate people to remain as skaters. I was once posted an instagram picture of my first (and only) broken foot, and Kelly left a short comment on the picture (this was back in 2012). I constantly think back to his kindness and it has left a postive impression on me from skating. I am still cruising the streets of Chicago.
I tore my all 4 years ago, it was a 13 month road until I could skate semi comfortably just to flick and pop. I'm thankful to say tho I have gotten way more technical & have more pop ( and it was my back leg that tore) than I did prior to the injury and it literally feels like it never happened except a slight tweak here and there.
man I cant believe that , my knee popt out 5 years ago and since sunday-monday I just cant skate daamn my right knee hurts like unskateble , damn what a coincidence I mean I haven't even, fell haha .. good luck at gettin better paul ,,,

Great episode guys, cracked me up with the coach bit, Hope your knee heals up quick Paul , I had the same knee injury in my early 20's. I didn't have deep pockets and a squad of doctors though so my shit was jacked up for around 5 years off and on.

I know everyone pretends to hate the over saturation of skating on social media and online video parts but I think that dropping a video with no promotion should be the new way to release shit. It’s almost like the same excitement from a hyped up full length especially when the video is as good as ‘never’. Shout out to Prod man fuckin genius
Same injury same time sort of story, snowboarding. Within a couple of weeks of each other, two of my friends broke their coccyx snowboarding. Caught a heel edge and slammed down on their arses. One was a guy I worked in a skateshop with and the other was a regular to the shop. Listening to them compare stories and piling up cushions to sit on was hilarious.
Surprised Roger didn't chime in to tell Paul that some of the most legendary video parts of all time are about a minute long...especially considering all of his instagram posts of parts that are a minute long or less.
damn i just broke my fibula doing a back nose slide on a hubba and my fall was exactly how p rod says his thought process was especially because im 27 and i feel the same way about it being this late in my career...
SD camera footage is better because with HD footage, it picks up EVERYTHING, you can literally be distracted by leaves on a tree blowing in the wind. With older vx1000 footage, it focuses on just the tricks and skaters a lot better. I do wish we could have wide screen vx1000 footage, that would be sick.
Need more clips of the albums, commercials, and people referenced during conversations. That’s the stuff that sets the experience apart from podcast. Reference a video, show 5 seconds of it, drop a name then show the face etc.
