Hiya Doug. Thanks for watching and commenting. Awesome to be able to share something different with the community. Glad you’re a part of this. Cheers and keep stacking ✌🏻😊
Thank you for sharing - interesting fact - Where did the word bullion originate? The term is ordinarily applied to bulk metal used in the production of coins and especially to precious metals such as gold and silver. It comes from the Anglo-Norman term for a melting-house where metal was refined, and earlier from French bouillon, "boiling".
Now thanks something I didn’t know, thanks for sharing 77. Can you also share what the term ‘billon’ means. I’m sure there are those out there who seen this used, instead of ‘bullion’. Cheers buddy and thanks for supporting the channel 😊✌🏻
I just stumbled onto this term yesterday when I was researching a Spanish Real that I received from a viewer. Here's what I found... An alloy formerly used for coinage, containing gold or silver with a predominating amount of copper or other base metal. I read that in Spain the country itself they used billon for their local currency while the rest of the world was cutting up silver and gold Reales/ Pieces of Eight into "bits". Very interesting the history of Coinage. @@send2georgie_S2G
very nice presentation, thanks for sharing these small pretty sterling silver bars! I seen them in many coin shops before, but the premiums are a killer indeed 😆
@@SilverDragoon hiya SD. Awesome to see you comment. Yes! as you said, these sets are widely available. The trick is to be patient and find the right deal. I’m sure you’ll find that one day soon. Cheers and happy stacking 😊✌🏻
Sure was Charnie. Great concept adding the auspicious characters to the bars. Too bad these weren’t minted as 999 bullion, I think they would have been popular otherwise. Cheers and thanks for stopping by the channel 😊✌🏻
Sure thing Johnny. Glad you liked the presentation. Too bad these weren’t struck in 999 silvers, they would be much more collectable if they were. Cheers buddy and keep stacking 😊✌🏻
Very rare vintage Singaporean silver bars. Glad you got the omes in the blue case cleaned up. I like the toning on the bars in the green case. Thanks for showing something i've never seen.
You do? Interesting observation StG. I think most collectors here wants the bars to be pristine. Guess thats why I got this set for dirt cheap LOL 😂 Again not something I stack but wanted to share them on video. Cheers StG, happy stacking 😊✌🏻

Tiny vintage bars! Very nice sets of bars. Your crushing it finding unique items to collect. For the set of 5 gram bars, amazing how the package tones the silver.
Awww thanks Struck, means an awful lot coming from you. Glad I could share something different with the community and thanks for stopping by the channel. Cheers, keep stacking my friend 😊✌🏻
Hee nothing like the awesome vintage bars you guys are finding stateside but I thought you all might get a kick out of seeing these Singapore silvers 😂✌🏻
Cool sterling silver proof bar sets S2G, given the meanings behind each bar I imagine they would be a popular keepsake amongst the wider population, not just collectors, we all need a bit of wealth, health, luck, prosperity, longevity & happiness in our lives, thanks for sharing these awesome Singapore Mint bars. Cheers Peter J 🤗👋💰🍀🤞🥳👍
@@peterj8278 I think they were once pretty popular but interests on them have waned. Was able to pick both these sets for cheap, wouldn’t have if they were expensive. I didn’t mention in this video but there’s a third set with 2x 10gm 999 gold bars. Now that’s something to behold for sure. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to get one! 😂✌🏻
I recognised that intro music from one of my favourite TH-camrs. I wonder if anyone can guess. He works magic with metal, but it's not silver and gold. Thanks for showcasing those bars Georgie.
French Fuse? I do like their work, the music goes well with many video genres. Didn’t realise they have a YT channel. Will check them out for sure. Cheers buddy and thanks for stopping by the video ✌🏻😊
Nice little bars and quite old. Do you think they have gone up much (taking into account inflation) in price since they came out? Thanks for showing these S2G - always well produced, informative videos. 👍
Unfortunately no Mark. Singapore Mint typically retails their products at very high premiums. Their silver collectables tend not to do very well on the secondary market. Good collectables do much better. These bars are a reflection of that. Their prices have remained depressed so it’s pretty easy to buy them close to melt. Hope that answers your query buddy. Cheers and happy stacking ✌🏻😊
A good addition to your collection of Singapore silver. Very nice.
