The best game I’ve ever been to and doubt it will ever be topped. The range of emotions experienced, excitement, despair, hope, jubilation but overall pride in my team. What a game!
I’m relatively new to football and I’m sorting out what teams I follow/like. I’m an American so I don’t really have any allegiance to any particular team or area. I have been supporting a team in each level of pro football. In the Championship league I have been supporting Coventry primarily because I follow your channel. I was so proud of their play against Man. U.; I’m so impressed by them. Following the game yesterday on my phone, I kept thinking that you guys were just going crazy watching it there at Wembley. Although they lost they have really cemented my heart in their favor.

I love the passion of real football fans, and watching this, you can only start to feel part of it. Coventry really fought for that, and from 0-3 down, for almost all of the second half, the championship team made the top-six premier league team look poor. I cheered for every Coventry goal, and felt the pain when that goal for a 4-3 lead was disallowed, where the Coventry player was deemed to be one millimetre offside. Even as a Preston fan myself, I was cheering for Coventry here by the end.
Man U did not deserve to win that, and Ten Hag is lucky to still have a job.

I don’t mind losing, my biggest fear was getting totally humiliated by a 6-0 score line. This match was the litmus test of whether we are ready for the Premier League and I think we proved beyond doubt that we are. Despite not coming away with a win and that ‘questionable’ VAR decision against Wright that denied Torp’s late winner, Coventry left Wembley yesterday with our heads held high and with renewed dignity and respect from the entire footballing community. We won so much more than a football match yesterday.
For me i would of rather lost 3 nil if united were the team fine thats expected but to lose by just the tip of a finger made me feel a whole lot worse but it was a great performance

@@Norwich_News you gain momentum by playing well dont just happen out of thin air them playing better is expected because they are a big six prem team but at the end of the day it went to pens which made it heartbreaking and we also had a goal ruled out in the last minute like if they won 3 nil i’d be like thats expected but we did well to get this far obviously still proud of the players but it hurt way more to get out this way me saying them being better wasn’t the point of my comment

Being at Wembley seeing this game live, I couldn't believe what I was watching when the goals started to fly in for us. When that equalizing goal went in, you could feel the energy in the stands and I remember thinking that we could beat these sods. The noise when that disallowed goal from Torp went in was insane, I thought for a minute that we would be going to the FA Cup Final and no dodgy VAR lines on a TV screen will ever take that feeling away. Didn't expect to win the game beforehand so not upset, tomorrow's another day, back to pushing for promotion to the promised land (might be too late this season but this squad, with a few additions in the summer, is good enough to be a real threat next season). I've never been more proud to say that I am a Coventry City fan, the players and the fans did the club and the whole city proud and the whole world watched. PUSB

If VAR draw the line on top of the United player's foot then of course it is going to look offside - but they were level and it's a shame if Cov can't appeal the disallowed goal

Very proud of the boys. Dragging that game back from the abyss in the second half took amazing character. No shame being beaten in a shoot out against a team who pays the ball boys more than our entire team.
Coventry comeback the stuff of dreams…it’s why we love the cup. The cruel denial of the winning goal is heartbreaking. I think if any part of the attacking player is level with the last defender it should be advantage to the attacker unless it is flagged….var needs to be used only for blatant errors. I would also like the var officials to be heard through the process like in Rugby Union. agree. I think there should be a margin, whereby attacker gets benefit of doubt (particularly if it wasn't given offside by lino or ref already)

Great video. I was on the other side of the big screen with my two boys (7&11). The scenes when the 3rd and (should have been) 4th went in were off the scale - I've never hugged so many strange men 🤣. It's a day we'll never forget but VAR managed to take the cherry off the top. How the image that seems to have been used to make the decision provides any conclusive proof is beyond me; the ball is still on O'Hare's foot (he scooped the pass), Wright had held his run and AWB was flying back.

Leicester fan here. I'm not usually the biggest fan of Cov but I am gutted for you. When that 4th goal went in I went crazy. Half an inch offside and then heartbreak for you in the shoot out. It remined me of our 4-3 defeat in the final against Swindon. 3 down. Back to 3 - 3 and then lost 4-3. You were millimetres away from the greatest ever comeback yesterday from your boys. Without VAR you would have won. You looked the better team for long periods. Mark Robins will be devastated.
Crazy game. I watched it yesterday in Norfolk Virginia on ESPN and as soon as Extra Time Started I got excited thinking about this video from Matt SB knowing it would be entertaining. When the goal went into the net at the end of ET I imagined you celebrating the goal. Heartbreaking result but a hell of a performance by Cov.

It was technically offside but by such a stupidly tiny margin, without VAR the goal would've probably been allowed. At least we embarrassed Man U and showed how good we can be to everyone.
Gutted for you guys. Coventry are my second fav team (after United of course), and Ipswich are my third fav.

It's a shame, we never seem to do well with the 3 centre backs which inevitably made it a back 5. Robins does this quite often. Amazing difference the change to the back 4 and the triple substitution made! You can't give United a 3 goal start and we were robbed at the end when Torp scored the winner.

I was at Wembley yesterday, our fans were absolutely brilliant. Even when Callum missed his Pen we broke into song.
Wish we had started on the front foot like we did with Wolves, we let Utd play in that 1st half.
Was happy Joel went off he was having a poor game, and surprisingly eccles was struggling. Viktor really showed his class, hoping he makes more starts. But the amount of chances we had in extra time were insane, Haji / Godden / Simms, just missed that last bit of brilliance, not to mention Torps rocket for Onana to save.
We move on, I hope we take inspiration now now and bring it back to CBS for the Hull game!
Your team and fans can hold their heads up high after that. Your boys deserve a break so they should put their feet up for the rest of the season, especially against Ipswich next week 😁
