@Roadmap to rome Can you please tell me if it is true that we can only take the shortcut to St. Peter's Basilica if we go with a guide? If we go on our own, will we have to leave the museum and go to the queue in the Vatican square?
Hello! Yes, to be able to enter the Basilica directly from the Sixtine Chapel, you need to be in the company of a guide. It is true that visitors could enter the church this way years ago, but this is not the case anymore, to our knowledge. Hope you will have a wonderful visit to both the Vatican Museum and to Saint Peter’s Basilica 😊
