love it , i've been working for this dream for years now , having a car with all my wooding tools is my only dream hope one day come true , keep going buddy many ppls inspired by your vids and i'm one of them ❤❤
I follow all your videos, I learn and apply your techniques to assemble the kitchens and different furniture that you make, your truck turned out excellent. Greetings from Uruguay.
As a joiner myself I look at you sir and take my hat off to you outstanding job a lot of thought has gone into your project I like it very much every single thing is organised but I am so sad all that work you have put into your van please tell me you park it up in a dam good parking spot at night as we all know some neanderthal takes all your tools and cut your doors up after all the time you have spent as no tradesmen deserves their time and tools to be taken ones again well done to you sir 👏👏😊
Thanks i made my self a rule never leave tools in van no matter if day or night if on street or on drive but if they want to get them they will so it try my best to not give them a chance thanks again for your comment and for watching this !
Excellent work especially considering the warped, cupped, twisted, bowed, knotted crap they call wood these day's it takes a craftsman to make anything look good.
I have a metris long wheel base. You might call it a veto. I got RV drawer slides. (They’re designed for large motor homes to access storage underneath) there’s all kinds of lengths etc. I got the 80”. I made it wide enough to hold two systainers wide. It will cantilever out of the back doors of my van 55”. There I have the csc sys 50. 😊
Ih i see i got you ! This van i will use it just to care the tools i need for a job and i never leave tools inside the van we living hard times where vans are braking in tools gets stolen etc so i design this to be light in weigh and easy to access
I recently did the racking on my van. Now I think I need to do it again. It's much better than it was though. I put all my racking by the side door and was thinking about runner to the rear doors for the mitre and table saw. I like some of the ideas you have used and will definitely copy some. Thanks for uploading such a good video
i put a false floor in my van about 150 mm so i can get on sheet material and timber and keep it away from my tools , its a good idea the pull side door however i would rather have a site box as ppl breaking into vans these days is beyond a joke
Thanks , i did this because i always carry all may tool on site i only leave bits inside the van so everything is there to be easy access and have a bit room to sore some eventually cabinets or doors etc i will have a roof rack for the long stuff added later
@@CAVjoinery it's good design and I carry a lot a of sheet material, yeah my tool kit is almost identical to yours and I have to split my tools, I am going to put bi fold shutters on my van that can be made custom size for the side door and back door, for added security
@@tonyconnor5691depends where you live and if you're on site. I'm not really either of these. Have fitted quality deadlock. If I was anywhere in a major town I would definitely consider the locking metal drawer. Tool sales are being banned at car boots in many areas without proof of purchase and eBay Facebook should also copy this so hopefully that might improve things.
Awesome video, really love the pride you take in your work, everything looks great and well organised. Differently blur out your license plate..there are real scumbags who will steal your tools, livelihood. Differently make sure the van is protected, I am sub to another carpenter channel a d his van was broken into, they stole most of his expensive tools. Anyway, great job 👍.
Thanks a ton! I never leave tools in van i will take to the job exactly the tools i need the only think i leave in those shelves are just consumables like connectors biscuits screws etc , i know last year they tool my leser level and some bits nothing special but they will add up i can not do much is the time we living i try tu be cautious as no matter how many safety precautions you take they will find a why to brake into your van thanks again for your comment !

I am in awe of your work. You're the carpenter we all strive to be! If anyone deserves to have all that top dollar gear, it's you. Hats off to you mate Also, where can I get myself some those drawer runners?
Awesome build, quick and practical. The diagonal shelf design is smart. Some elastic bungee cord may help to secure the systainers some more if needed. I would have added adhesive neoprene or foam strips also on the wall behind each systainer to prevent rattling. The drawer pull handle is clever too. Load ratings and durability on these big drawer slides can vary. Are you happy with yours so far?
They look solid i went for this build because i never leave tools inj van all tools are carried inside the job i only use those shelves for conectors and bits and yeast those looks strong runners i have them from vadania.co.uk they have some heavy duty hardware
@@CAVjoinery Ah, I see! That's a good idea. Yes, I've heard from British colleagues here in Sydney that theft of tools is a very serious and rampant problem over there. I am designing a similar solution as yours except I want to to take out as many tools as possible in one go and simply roll into a job site without having to go back and forth several times to the vehicle.
Great work CAV. I did mine all out of 18 mil betonplex, a kinda weather proof plywood, the dark brpwn/red one. Needed to add extra strong springs to my van to handle the weight. 😅 Question on tools. What cap set are you using, that is visible @1:05:44, in the blue systainer? Cheers. 🎈💪

I will have roof rack ro occasionally end panels this ways works better for my needs is not finished yet i will have another bed slide to help me access easier the table saw and miter saw and i will not leave any tools on van anyway i only leave the bits boxes
nice build as always .i use a lot of the same tools..i would add a rotating air vent to the roof that keeps fresh air flow through the rear cab space, im assuming its in the uk? .. the vans iv had are always having the same problems with stored tools.. moisture and condensation, then mold and rust. airflow in through the roof vent and out through a secondary vent.
I was thinking of that they have some vents but seams that they aren’t enough for air flow, although i have to take in counting the roof rack i will add on later thanks a lot for the tip !
