Another thing, when people get to know WayV and are curious on how the Regular Korean version would sound like, they would start to research NCT and more people will start knowing about NCT. Bear in mind that NCT is not that popular in China. So, this is SM's plan to conquer global music. By having one song in multiple languages. I admit that it is a good marketing move and also a good way for fans like us who are so used to kpop can warm up to WayV's cpop.

fellow lucas bias here haha, i related to your reactions a lot! for some reason i prefer the chinese version too, the mv is beautiful (i stand by the v in wayv standing for visuals haha), the vocals were amazing, i was also surprised by yangyang being a rapper, and i'm so happy that kun got his time to shine, finally. and he's the leader too, which i was hoping for from the start. the whole song and mv SLAPPED but the only thing i'm disappointed about was the fact that winwin has now sang regular in 3 different languages and he STILL gets the short end of the stick with lines/screentime... it makes me really annoyed/upset, especially as he had to miss out on regulate promotions for this too.
It is actually the core idea of NCT. For every location based units to be able to promote the same song in different languages at nearly the same time. They will have shared songs and their own songs too. That's why this group has a unlimited number of members and this I really clever like you said. I'm just happy that Lee Sooman vision of what he wanted to do with NCT back in 2016 during that conference he made was finally bring to live. I completely love how the song sound so good in Chinese and I'll never let go the fact that Kun did the "hopped out the coupe" part. I really love Yangyang's vibes when he raps. I love XiaoJun's voice too. Sadly Hendery and WinWin didn't get a lot of lines (yes Winwin just kept his only line...).... But lines distribution is more complex than just gives equal lines to everyone, it's also about which voice can make a part sounds the best. The other songs of The Vision are great too. Comeback, well, I prefer this version compared to the Korean one (but the Japanese one stay my favourite). And Dream Launch Plan, this song is beautiful. I loved the style of it too. I have to train my ears to recognize all their voices so I think I'll spend a lot of time listening to it. I can't wait for all the WayV contents we'll have! But really what is a bias in NCT? When I first learned that they’re gonna debut with Regular, I was kinda disappointed.. but then I theorized that it was a “business” move for SM, since WayV is still a new group, plus the fact that kpop is not that popular in China yet, he has to make a smart move by making them sing an already released song. This will then make his target audience wonder what’s the fuss about Regular, what the other versions sound like and so they would of course, search NCT. Also it was a “safe” move as well.. they’re still rookies basically, so the chances of flopping are high, and they have to test the waters first by giving us a free EP album. As more listeners and fans are attracted, the more the company might promote them and give them their deserved songs and albums.. That’s why we have to support them and continue to stream their songs so that the boys’ efforts won’t be put to waste. However, I still don’t understand why SM doesn’t give our beloved Winwin much lines..
Actually, WayV was supposed to debut before NCT 127 made a comeback with Regular, therefore Regular's "Chinese Version" IS the original version. P.S.: I highly agree with the visuals, vocals and all.
