"...given different histories by a rampaging alien butterfly." I'm surprised the narrator didn't follow that up with "Yes, really" or "No, I am not kidding". Then again, this is comic books.
Benito Cereno has visited that well enough in past "You Think You Know...?" episodes. At this point he figures you take it in stride or just go read "52" yourself if you're doubtful.
I still don't know what's was going on...
Crossover coming next year!!!!
Well I’m waiting for the crisis on infinite earths in December
Sooo before the crisis everyone was on their own earth? Golden and Silver age
Red Bee is now in the comic called PEACEMAKER TRIES HARD. HE is the parole officer to PeaceMaker.
I'm still confused.
2:22, you mean 'good Lux Luthor's son, not Lex himself'. You think you know comics, apparently not?
Apart from Wolfman wanting to rename DC, was anything here not common knowledge already?
YES All the way
Great video, can you do a video on the Charlton characters?
So yeah.. a lot of the heroes are going to die... and history will change. Maybe Supergirl will live in the Arrowverse Earth-1. Damn, there's so much content. Some of The Legends of Tomorrow may die too. The Atom?! Constantine?! Oliver?! Wally?!
I liked this vid ok I guess. There's no one providing a singular vision (Like GLukas or Roddenberry, etc) ever since Julie left, so it's automatically a jumbled mess that just gets perpetuated on and on when then next jag off comes along and picks up where the mess was left off not really caring and making more of a mess w/laughable rationalizing. One thing the vid kinda got wrong is that in the revamp Batman's origin did not change at all. It may have added details but it was STILL exactly the same. Young boy reacts to crime by conditioning himself to becoming the greatest Scientist in the universe+physical specimen near superhuman, inspired by a bat at the last second; owns Super heroing.
If barry dead in pre crisis then how come people still remember barry allen after universe rebooted into post crisis earth?? please help, somebody explain to me
Ukitaros but there were inconsitencies .Most characters don t remember what happened during the event; while others do .
The Multiverse collapsed into one earth and timeline at the end of the series with most characters remembering the events of series but the JSA became the first superheroes in the DC Universe. Only Psycho-Pirate became the only character to remember the Multiverse.
Lets not forget that while Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman got simplified new origins this had ramifications. Most notably on Legion where Paul Levitz tried to hold off the post crisis continuity as long as possible. Later having to replace Superman and Supergirl with Mon-El and Andromeda before DC gave up and completely rebooted it after Zero Hour. Infinite Crisis would then see Legion rebooted again with the Threeboot. Before Final Crisis put the post Zero Hour Legion as being from a pre-Crisis Earth 247 who are saved from destruction to travel the new Multiverse as Wanderers. The Threeboot from Earth Prime, same as Superboy Prime meaning Supergirl was zapped across the multiverse in Infinite Crisis by a zeta beam. The old pre-crisis Legion is revealed to be the Legion of New Earth. With the New 52, Legion again is trying to soldier on with that continuity and ignore what everyone else is doing. Which should be the Motto: 'Legion, We'll figure out how this works in continuity later'
Why did the anti moniter want to destroy the multiverse tho?
It was a big DC event .😀👍
lol he said "OM-nee-POH-tent" to say omnipotent. It's actually pronounced "om-NIH-poh-tent"
He mispronounces shit in every video. You could make a drinking game out of it.
Strictly speaking, the idea of multiple universes was reintroduced into the DCU as early as Grant Morrison's run on Animal Man. Morrison has spent a lot of time trying to build universes for DC over the decades.
Crisis was fun to read when it came out, but killed a lot of books I was really enjoying. that series is a big soreness for me in my memory.
The series was fun to read while it was new, but then after it finished I remember everything I enjoyed didn't work anymore. I feel like a number of events were created to replace what was destroyed here.
Bet barry Allen will save the multiverses again
Can someone reply explain to me please ?
This is a bit late but hat should I read before crisis on infinite earths, I’ve read most DC Comics just not the older golden age sort of stuff
i believe that there is a crisis on infinite earths box set which includes all crisis tales leading up to Crisis if that helps
@@maximiliankemnitz1869 Yeah, the Absolute Edition.
I am first, but does this validate my miserable existence? No.
te infinate earths was the BEST theory...they broke it
"oh no ive gone cross eyed"
Do saga
Just wanna point something out, it wasn't superman's bravery nor Batman's knowledge that saved the day...it was flashes bravery that brought hope for DC.
What's better Crisis of Infinite Earths or Infinite Crisis 2005?
Crisis on Infinite Earths didn´t aged well with time, so I actually enjoy more Infinite Crisis.
Crisis of Infinite Earths is definitely a tough one to get through considering how poorly it's aged, but it does have some great moments. I'd go with Infinite Crisis
I only read the first issues of Crisis On Infinite Earths, but i feel it kind of slow paced and i get a bit bored, Infinite Crisis on the other hand was more enjoyable for me, not great but it was good
Idk what they talking about, its EXCELLENT
