S550 Mustang GT (w/ gen3 Coyote), 6th gen V8 Camaro, my favorite BMW made to-date, an actually obtainable and competent Porsche... this is a lot of why 2018 is the pinnacle year for new sportcars, worldwide. I enjoyed this episode.
As an American car guy..there is nothin better than seein the rest of the world enjoy our cars! We still need a majority of them to step up their interiors!
Cadillac has a stellar car called the CT-5 V Blackwing. Nicer interior, 6 speed manual and a supercharged V8. Pricey, but still much cheaper than German competition.
The Plato vs Tiff VTs are 5th Gear gold. Often the Alpha chassis Camaro is viewed as the better handler but both of these cast shade on the US cars only are good in a straight line story.......well except the Hellcats and Demons, which are unapologetic old school muscle cars. All sound awesome.
10:45 could have been that the back tires were to high pumped. Should be around 2.3/2.5 bar. Sometimes they pump 3.0 bar and it makes the ride uncomfortable.
Anyone else notice Jimmy DeVille has the same intonation for all of his sentences. The last 4 or so words of every sentence has a slight pause before them then you get the signature melody on each and every sentence. Once you hear it you'll not be able to unhear it. You're welcome
Every review has found the Camaro to be in a completely different league in terms of chassis tuning. The fact that it wasn’t glaringly obvious to these two presenters is really troubling. Unless they were trying to maintain a certain level of suspense so we don’t know which one does the faster lap time
Good show, it would have been interesting to see the VXR go back on the rolling Road for a third time and give people a quick lesson on remapping maybe. ✌️
Yeah, that could help a lot. Plus if the stupid after market air filter doesn't suck the hot air from inside and could benefit from bigger intercooler... 🙂
Not so sure that I'd like to simply swap a turbo on a car without then tuning it with a remap. That really should have been stated. Do so at your own peril.
The problem with the Camaro is the size especially when it comes to car park spaces . Over here in Aus we have had both of these cars for a while and i had a laugh watching a guy trying to park a Camaro in a supermarket multi storey car park . He gave up in the end and i'm not sure that if he had got it in the space if he would have been able to get out of the car anyway .
Its such a shame the new Cayman doesn't have the flat six engine more over the new 4 cylinder engine is bit lazy to honest that's the only downside other than that i love the Porsche for its good looks and great handling ❤❤❤❤
Proper Camaro vs Mustang test. Same year similar trim. The Camaro has the 1LE suspension package that would had been a better match. But even without it the Camaro wins. One thing that bothers me every time they get tested against each other. Ford will always give a Mustang that's a model newer than the Camaro. This is how it should always be same year model and same trim.
That V6 Mustang Vicki drove was terrible! Could they have bolted on any more useless crap? If you’re going to feature a V6 ‘stang, get one that looks the part
Has 5th gear lost its way? Porche, Cameron, Mustang, track sliding cars, all seen from the outside, and doing things no normal driver would ever do. Its all gone a bit racy, apart from the volvo.

Re the VXR segment. An engine remap would of achieved the same figures without replacing any parts. And cost a third of the price.
That’s what they can do next then it will be around 240bhp. 😄
In the USA the Camaro V8 is a 6.2 L. The best camaro is the SS1LE with magna ride. The Camaro you drove is the secretary car.
I was expecting the Mustang to win going round the track although I have heard a lot of good things about the Camaro doing very well.

Its a very brave person that tunes a Corsa VXR.
So basically with a new turbo you gain the HP the car should have from factory. That is not an upgrade lol

No it hasn't lost that much. A rolling road measures power at the wheels, where as manufacturers quote power at the crank. Fairly basic stuff!
