The key issue here is greed. When you have nothing and somebody opts to help you, you should be grateful above everything else. The complainants are looking at Victor's earnings and comparing it to what he is giving them, rather than looking at where they would be if Victor was not there at all. That guy agreed that he is not a licensed football agent, so Victor must have brought him into his business to cover him in aspects based on trust and confidentiality. If he willingly and happily returned the 400k to Victor, it means he himself knew fully well that the money did not belong to him. There is no way Victor will maltreat the brother of his own blood sister. I have seen this scenario play out severally. MY ADVICE: Nest time you receive money from Victor, use it to open a retail shop or start a viable business. Don't depend on your brother for your life sustenance.

If victor can trust his sister’s husband and work with him just to put food on his family table, why can’t the sister’s husband say every thing he thinks Victor isn’t doing right to his face, that’s a no no for me, you can’t expect Victor to be happy knowing fully well that someone he is trying to make his life great is actually talking bad about him at his back, not nice anyway, this is just a show of shame and greediness for someone’s else sweat and hard work 😓

Well done learned colleague Barr Austin. With the hint previous episode that the matter was in court and likely sub judice; or has you informed us letters have been exchanged by counsel on both sides, as such the matter likely lis pendens. I was wondering how you would navigate the sensitive mine laden waters of both! You did admirably. If the matter is truly in court (you indicate your firm hasn't been served originating processes) then we should allow that official court adjudicate; not conduct a parallel adjudication in the courts of social media, which amounts to possible contempt of court, and punishable as such.
As you rightly emphasize family blood ties are at play here, need to be preserved. Our brother Victor's blossoming career equally needs to be acknowledged, and meticulously preserved. Bearing all these in mind I pray that an amicable out of court settlement be explored, and reached acceptable to both parties.

Sport related matter has nothing to do with the conventional court but Court Of Abitration For Sports (CAS). I said this when the matter broke. If the main agent could sent money directly to Osita's account then it means he somehow participated in the transfer. Osita doesn't have to understand anything about football to gain from it. There is something called THIRD PARTY in Football and locally we call it "For hearing or seeing " a transaction. It's obvious Osita partake in the transfer but what the lawyer is claiming is,the POA had expired prior to the transfer but the question is, why did Victor allowed him to partake in the transaction if the POA has expired? Most Nigerian players always entrusted their own person to work with any foreign agents during transfer to protect their interest cos players are always busy. Victor is Nigeria international and should be protected from all this distraction. Family is powerful n can cause distraction to his career. So he should called all member of the family to resolve this. Victor transfer to Napoli was over 70m Euro and agent could get btw 3-10% legally even super agents knows how to manipulate clubs to get from clubs so the agent fee here is btw 2.1m Euro to 7m euro and it all depends on the buying club payment and in this case, Napoli is paying instalment, i think 3x so they should come together in love to resolve this matter. Victor is still very young and a prospective superstar. Only 23yrs and could be active till over 30 or more. The family should calm do to resolve it has they have lot money coming to their family with Victor success. I dont see Victor spending another year in Napoli till clubs like Chelsea, Man City, Madrid etc snap him cos he's one of the world hottest properties in the business and that could over 100m pounds. This is a life time opportunity for everyone including the inlaw so all parties should be smart n not ruin our player's career

I said it before and I’ll say it again.. Victor is playing with fire, if this case gets to FIFA he will be in big trouble because it means he scammed his agent. He will explain why his agent transferred money to Ostia and he will explain why he requested that Ostia transfer the money to him.. There are evidence to these transactions. Those transactions are legal. It’s illegal to receive commission from your own football transfer business.. The more this case stays on social media, the more the chances of it getting to fifa gets closer. Yes, he’s upset with Osita because he heard the gossips and stuffs he said about him, but the fact is; the transaction was for Osita and he has every right to ask for that money. If FIFA comes into this case, Victor career is finished (Transaction scam).. This will affect so many Nigerian footballers, not just him. He makes that money in less than a month.. Why allow this thing to go on?

Could the specific duties or the schedule of work Osita did for Victor be clearly determined? Is there any form of agreement with specific terms agreed to or signed by the two parties? If you ask me someone who is not a professional should not have been engaged in such a capacity that is not well equipped or trained for .Is it also possible that there were no specific assignments on which basis Osita was engaged to work for Victor? I reckon that if out of court settlement cannot permanently resolve the matter then let a court of competent jurisdiction resolve the matter. Victor Osimhen is a very important national and international figure with so much he still has to accomplish hence the family members should be very guided in how they go about this controversy. Best wishes to the family.

I advise he settles out of court with his Mr./Mrs. Osita because this case might expose some illegal dealings in the Oshimen's transaction. (my humble opinion)

Regardless, I still feel, Mr. Osita will loose out and it will affect his wife who is Victor's sister. She will be the one to totally loose out. I pray they settle it out of court. What I will want u to have asked him is, How come the money was paid to Osita, why was the money paid to Osita in the first place? Why did the main agent not pay this money directly to Victor or the other members of the family?

Well he is talking like a lawyer which is expected. He is not addressing the bone of contention ( the agency money) which is understandable. I picked two things from him. Whether osita has agency certificate or not, the lawyer at a point said with his mouth that osita was Victor's manager. Therefore power of attorney is out of it. Osita said that Victor made him his manager been considered as inlaw. Why bringing power of attorney into it when of a truth Victor took osita outside the country to represent him in closing deals. Osita's company is entitled to certain percentage which he is demanding for. Again, the lawyer admitted that the money in question was paid into osita company account which confirms that agency fee was actually paid. So Victor borrowed the money from osita. My observation though.

I don't think the money is an agent transfer fee. There was no subject line that suggests that the money was transferred from the club. If it was Victor who transferred the money, then the money could have been for the family. The money being transferred owing to proximity reasons. But if the fund was transferred from the club directly then it's a straight shot, it's an agent fee meant for the manager as at the time.

Those that has right for commission if a player is under 23 are the agent, all academies he passes thru and "third party". FIFA frown at third party deals but the fact remain they re real. If you remember Carlos Teves and Javier Mascherano's transfer to West Ham United like 14 years ago, third party palava almost ruined their career that was when FIFA "ban" third party even some third parties buys some % of the players economic right. Third parties could be agencies or individuals that had invested or investing/sponsoring the players over the years like if i come to lagos to sponsor a player abroad with my money then i could lay claim to some % in his transfer, This is an ongoing issue with FIFA anyways

I don't know the whole story and cannot confirm the veracity of claims from both parties, however I felt that in hindsight this could have been handled better. I sense that ego and lack of communication allowed the whole issue to become bad and public. I like Victor because, he works so hard and seems a nice guy but he should have done all that is humanly possible to make sure this issue does not to go public, everything must not involve a lawyer because they will always do their job professionally but when it comes to family issue you may use a different approach sometimes and forget all this legal battle, it is a distraction and should have been avoided. Now what is the way forward? , forget all this interview back and forth , yes you can put out your own side of the story that is fine but, most importantly Victor pick up a phone and call your sister and her husband , resolve it with them, at the end of the day they just want money. Reach an agreement with them and find a way to perhaps pay them something whether they were right or wrong is not important now. I want this to be resolved as quickly as possible so that Victor can focus on the new season. I like Victor and I don't want this to destroy that young guy career. @@alphazolax1843 Quite simple: if you had watched both episodes of the show, you would have realised that Osita never acted as agent to Victor, and that this money was actually transferred to him by Victor. The confusion here, stems from the fact that Osita is suddenly of the view that he deserved that sum, especially because he helped the young man scrutinise these documents, amongst others, which Victor usually relied on him for. This is where Osita assumes he is an agent! At no point in the whole discussion, did Osita define his role as 'agent', or define his terms of contract with Victor. He had no contract to show! If he had one, there would be no argument! To take it further, the first son of the family and the sister that Osita's wife kept accusing of being their stumbling block, they came onto the show and shared their story, with facts and evidence that point at how much money was paid to each of them over the years, including Osita and his wife! Let me leave it here: what work did Osita, who had no contract or training, do to earn almost a USD 1bn as agent's fees?!

Though the inlaw might be greedy to want to collect all the money, however the lawyer is out of context in the sense that the inlaw knows nothing about football as such he is not entitled to have any dealings. In my love of football I have learned alot about transfers and by law there is implied and explicit terms in a contract. Now in terms of implied terms the manager is entitled to some compensation even when it is not explicitly stated in the contract because he has been part of the person managinh the client in this case Victor to bw able to sign for the club, and the law recognises this, so for the lawyer to claim he was not entitled to anything bk he knows nothing about football is totally voidable. My apology am not a lawyer but my humble view out of experience

If you claim that the in-law is not a member of the family simply because he married the sister then why send money meant for the family through him? why don't you keep him away from family matter and deal with him on professional matter alone? Osita wasn't Victor's agent according to his own testimony but Victor engaged him for the purpose both of them agreed upon. If he is not entitled to the Agent's commission, he is surely entitled to what Victor promised him for the services he rendered to him. This reasoning should be the guiding principle in any amicable settlement. Victor's image and career need to be protected by his own kin.

Osita may not win the case but it will undoubtedly injure the reputation of the super star. If Osita and his wife were not satisfied with the peaceful settlement of the family, let the family re-examine the matter this time with the wise counsel of their respective lawyers.
Peace should be brought back to the family at all costs with both sides making concessions.
