Himmel said "it was beautiful... it was the first time i thought magic was beautiful" first part refering to Frieren lil Himmel having a crush on Frieren already back then... and when he finds her again (at the time of them recuiting her) to Himmel it must have been as "magical" as when he first met her and... imagine meeting your childhood crush after like 20 years and they are still as beautiful as you remember them to be

There was sad news in Japan yesterday. Atsuko Tanaka, who provided the voice for Flamm, had been battling illness for the past year, but her son and voice actor Hikaru Tanaka announced that she passed away on the 20th, Japan time. Atsuko, who has a unique voice, was active not only in anime, but also in dubbing many foreign films. On a personal note, the most memorable voice of hers is Motoko Kusanagi (Major) from Ghost in the Shell. Please rest in peace...
After seeing the scene with Denken in Richter's shop several times, I think Denken was gathering study materials for Richter to focus on in the three years before the next exam. There are other details like that in the show that I didn't notice the first time around.

i love those two eps, especially the mana talk and the interviews are so so good! Serie once again finding a very talented human mage and wanting to train her herself, like she did for Flamme, because she probably suspects that Fern will not realize her maximum potential with Frieren, because they live a mostly peaceful life. Also Land has my absolute respect, my man walked in to meet the one who is most likely the greatest mage to ever live, famous across the world for knowing every spell in history, and tried to troll her with cloning magic. What a madman, Serie liked it tho, so it didn't backfire on him. And lastly her smile when Wirbel told her he sees magic as a tool for killing was amazing :DD
Serie banning Frieren for 1000 years means the Magic Association will need to keep records of Frieren of in every one of their facilities for the next 1000 years, which also means that Frieren and her achievements will be remembered for at least as long as the Magic Association lasts for. She gave her another way to make her mark in history, and also ensuring that Himmel too is remembered through association with Frieren. In her own weird way, Serie is being kind.
I love how characters are allowed to be wrong. Himmel doesn't think the small, insignificant tasks will change the world even if he insists on doing them, but they turn out to be impactful in the end. His words in the moment are still good, but we also see that he had far more of an effect than he realized at the time. When characters are allowed to be wrong without being framed as evil or incompetent, it allows incredible room for growth.
Serie vs Frieren sibling rivalry is the real boss fight here. 🤣 Frieren defeated demon king, has Fern, breaks Series barrier. Serie failed her at the exam and banished for 1000 years. Just pure spite. 🤣

No one ever mention this but, if you rewatch it, I think that is why they didn't cry at his funeral
