I am surprised to see so many saying the Prius is at fault. Prius already in his lane, Lambo came from behind and drive into the side of Prius. When you are behind, you should avoid the car in front especially when there is enough room for the lambo to speed past the Prius and take the lane ahead
this is the specific 2 lanes that i frequently travel to and always wonder if the drivers do understand and keep to their lanes and in this case the prius didnt keep to his lane if you notice carefully or are familiar with the actual place.
@@faruq77 I am very familiar with this place as I stay near here. I am also very familiar with the fact that if a car is in front of me and he managed to cut into my lane, I am supposed to avoid whacking my car into the car in front. Insistence on being right or being a safe driver? Are you familiar with that concept? 🙄
@@JCzzzzz Look at google maps. it clearly shows that the inner lane has access to 3 split outs and the outer lane is marked to stay in the outer lane. I suspect its for the buses. watch the video carefully and observe the bus movements. the Prius moved into the wrong lane
@@bradtan78 this insistence on who was in the wrong lane is hilarious. So if someone cuts into my lane IN FRONT of me at a LOW SPEED, what should I do? I should INSIST on taking my lane, accelerate and whack into the side of the car in front just to make my point? The Lambo was still BEHIND the Prius AFTER the Prius took the lane. Lambo was either not paying attention to the road conditions OR he insisted on taking the lane, that is obvious to me. I don't know why insistence on whose lane it is should matter, I believe the car is IN FRONT so the car BEHIND should take actions to avoid an accident

If the Prius was a large truck driving a full load of sand, I doubt the Lambo will insist on his lane. Defensive driving and your own safety is your own responsibilities. Regardless who may be in the wrong, if you are able to avoid contact, you should. This is not bumper cars.
Very clear cut. The damn lambo slammed straight into the Prius when he could have avoided it easily. Crap Lambo driver should have his ego smashed and licence revoked to prevent such stupendous accidents again.
The Prius won the insurance btw, fyi (strictly only for this road) the Prius could've kept the most left as like the bus did HOWEVER, ppl who have not claim any insurance here or even drive commented bunch of stuffs, I am just gonna keep it simple by saying, u can make lane changing while turning it is NOT WRONG but u must signal and not change lanes so suddenly as to inconvenience or endanger other traffic. The Prius is in the lane first regardless he signal or not he is in no way endangering anyone else including the lambo. If any charge would to be place against him, will only be failure to comply with traffic rules ; signaling and this charge will be charge by TP and will not apply to any insurance side claims. (I am just saying this if the Prius would to change lane to the lambo lane)
TLDR, Prius is in the correct lane, the bus in this video doesn't show or prove anything on this road because for bus, they are to obey the rule to keep most left for every road in sg unless specify roads which requires them to take the second or "middle" road like the one near orchard etc.. (need no explain) Lambo's driver know hes rich and drive a powerful car, he decided he will be loud enough to chase Prius off his lane, but no. Pruis won the insurance, period, prius wasn't making any reckless motion, period.
I wish the Lambo's owner gets the report from his insurance agent and post here and show everyone here that money cant buy his ego cause he still lose =) Not 50/50, he lost 100% =)
From my theory lessons, when there are two right turning lanes, the one on the inner lane has to turn to the rightmost lane as well. The one on the outer lane has the option to choose left most or middle lane if they are turning into a 3-lane road. Therefore, the lambo should have turned into the right most lane instead of the middle and he is at fault. Anyway, he came in fast in the Prius blind spot so the Prius should be absolved of all blames.
The Toyota driver has shown tremendous amount of courage and power as he is not intimidated by the Lamborghini car but demonstrated superior driving skill as he established dominant position in front.
White car go wrong lane when exiting the junction and took yellow car's exit lane. Yellow car tried forcefully took his lane back despite white car was already on that lane. when both don't budge, this happens.

There are 3 lanes on Dunearn Road before the turn off into Adam Road with 2 right turning lanes and 1 going straight. On Adam Road there are 4 lanes with 2 going straight and 2 left turning ones. So rightfully when you make the turn the one on the left one should keep to the left most lane just like what the bus driver did!
And there are dotted lines to even show drivers which lane to take and yet they can’t follow… 🙄

I take this turn often, the white car is actually at fault (but abit grey area). The dotted lines after the lights would have actually guided the white car into the left most lane (behind the bus). Lambo can choose between the first two Turn Right” or go straight lane. It’s common for cars to do what the white car does, those knowing the area usually go very slow to anticipate these guys.

Ironically had a similar run on on Sunday but the car on the left most lane wanted to cut into my lane (Lambo/go straight lane) then on to the right turn right lane. My car blocked his manoeuvre 😆, after he manage to do so he honked in displeasure LOL. Life goes on in 🇸🇬
Yup, i took this turn regularly too. The white car has to take the most left lane after the turn. The yellow car cannot assumed that white car will take the extreme left lane, he/she need to be on look out before turning.

i can't see the markings on the ground. can someone draw something like a bird's eye view of the markers/road please? I'm trying to understand what is on the ground before I make a further assessment of the situation. Because I can't see the lines clearly, I believe the white car stick to the left side of the curve line, while it was the lambo that was originally on the right side of this same curve line, that crossed that curve line and hit the white car. Again, I can't see the road markings clearly and therefore can't be sure.

Looks like for lane sharing, insurance will prepare to settle 50:50. Neither party is at full fault. Lambo repair cost will be huge as compared to Prius
both are wrong in their own ways I reckoned..my best guess is that (1) Prius may have purposely try to block Lambo's path as the heat could have started from before the turn; (2) Lambo, due to his cockiness cannot tolerate this "insult" of his pride and decided to slam into Prius as a form of revenge. Final verdict, as an analogy, Lambo is the one who "pull the punches" first regardless of the "verbal insult" coming out from the Prius first... so the one who end up paying the price will be the Lambo.

Wow. I was blown away by this. Why? Because the video clearly shows the Lambo pushing into the lane of the Prius. What do you not realize from the video? The lanes. If you do a google search for the location; Singapore by the way. Go to street view and simulate driving the same route. Once you do this, and only after you do this, will you realize that the Prius did in fact cut across a lane. What I thought was a bike lane to the left, is actually the lane where the Prius was supposed to go. But this does not change the fact that the Lambo is an idiot and has too much money because he doesn't care about his car.
When your car is lower, side mirror cannot see.. blind spot. So when driving, need to think a lot of things. Not just the follow the traffic rules but think about other people and what his acting can cause. A lot of question need to ask yr self before do anything even though yr are right side to avoid accident that can cause a lot of damage. Road is not the place to show who are right, back down is more better. Don’t side by side car when cornering or straight it quite danger some people take space when cornering event straight also some people cannot follow lane carefully. 😂

Dotted line is there to superseded lane 1 turn into lane 1 rule. Because after turning, lane 1 & 2 is right turn only. Most cars after turning will be going straight down to Farrer.

when turning right, vehicle in right most lane turns into right most lane. by theory, it has never being left most lane turn into left most lane. its just too many ppl dont follow making the wrong practice seemingly right. dont believe? just check out road junctions where there are guide lines (eg X-junction after exiting KPE (towards City) at Tampines Road)
