nice looking sets , try taking a little castor lure and use it as a smear lure inside the culverts . that will make the beaver curious and investigate the tubes quicker . i haven't used any of the rbg traps yet . thinking about getting a few to use for otter sets . i'm thinking someone took your trap at the predator set , there wasn't enough disturbance to indicate a struggle enough to make the split ring fail . good luck on the line . if you can find some poplar bud oil , it works pretty good as a food/curiosity lure .
I feel your frustration. We had a foothold taken. At first I thought maybe he didn’t have it anchored good because the anchor and everything was gone. Big coyote tracks at trap site but no real catch circle. Looked like it was caught late evening and we ran early next morning. There was fresh vehicle tracks from the theevening before. He said that he tested the anchor hold good. So unless the cable or anchor broke down deep it was stolen. Didn’t look like near enough disturbance to be animal caused
I lost a TS 85 the other day! Had a quick snap holding my trap and when I pulled up the drawing rod it was gone, I had that sinking feeling and looked for that Beaver for a week with no luck.🙄
When ever someone finds a trap, they take it. So I learned that you not only have to blend it in with the surroundings to catch the critter. But you also have to make it invissible to thieves.
@@AnArkansasTrapper I hope so too. I have had 2 traps stolen since I started trapping. Now I try to set them where they can't be seen. Like no drowning rods in clear water, only snares or footholds on anchors, if it's where people might see them. I have a lot of stealth sets I can use with those traps.
like Dan said someone took the trap .maybe a dog hunter are home owner so there pet wont get caught again..good looking set should be some beavers in the morning

Thanks. I am leaning to someone helped themself to it as well.

It is for sure aggravating. Hopefully it doesn't become a regular issue for either of us.

Never fun. I have several times picked up a beaver in the same set that made off with a trap. Hopefully you get it back.
Good looking sign u setting on. Good luck
Appreciate that.

I have had very little issue over the years with theft. Hope that isn't changing.

I hate losing traps I think someone took that one? I like the way the sets look! Hope you get em buddy! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Mark. I am defiantly leaning toward someone as well.
Last year, I watched a bobcat jump up and pull my anchor. I had to watch it run across a pasture never to be seen again.
That is never fun to see. It sure takes the excitement away quickly.
Yea it’s aggravating I lost a MB650 that’s was a 24 dollar trap the whole chain was still there in hole the crunch swivel fail next to trap
It is always frustrating when one is missing no matter the reason.

I think so too. Thanks
Put a camera up you should find out what happened
