It was in H7 where Grian was stealing doors and since Grian and Mumbo were hobits, the Moredoor was cronstructed
Dang, you beat me to the reference gg
12 bamboo!??
I'm pretty late to the party, but that is exactly, what I wantet to tell them. You a totally right. that's where the "MoreDoor" of Hermitcraft comes from.
Ya ya beat me too ot
Hermit challenges!!!
Iskall casually showing his perfect pitch has to be the biggest flex I've seen in some time.
Just proof that iskall is pitch perfect like it’s nothing
Woooo yeeey
Seriously. I was so impressed.
Honestly! As a musician, thats def an OMEGA value skill
I was like, “I wish…”
That was so cool! HS choir teacher would often call out a note to sing and I usually got close- I’m so impressed!
I had an idea for elixirs. What if after you complete the elixir bar, the rest of the elixir you gather goes towards something loot or leveling related. Maybe you get a smaller elixir bar after you compete the main one and once you complete the smaller one, you get a positive effect like a pylon. Or maybe it just adds a small amount of loot to the completion crate, or gives you a tiny bit more of xp when you finish the vault.
I realy like this idea man!
I second this idea
I second this idea
I second this idea
having something extra added at the end will just make elixir vault extremely good compared to the others, elixir is already the "easy" vault and having those kind of buffs will just make people do lots of seals and ignore the other type of vaults
The fact that Iskall hit that C note had me trolling 😂
lol xD
Love that iskall didn't realize "the muffin man" was from shrek- even though he's old gingerbread mobs used to quote it (my FAVORITE GAME EASTER EGG EVER)
21:00 I think in Hermitcraft S7 when Mumbo and Grian both had hobbit holes, Mumbo made some kind of noise machine in Grian's base with doors and made a pun about Mordor. Or something like that.
Yeah at the end of Mumbo's S7E3
Iskall casually giving us a therapy session about mental health
Doom spiraling is real. Or as Iskall would call it: "The Spiral of DOOM" :P
Mumbo’s prank to Grian at the beginning of Season 7 involved Mordor and the doors were flapping
Iskal is the content MVP right now. Super props to him.
Fun Fact: Micro-psychokinesis is the field of study that shows that human thought can slightly influence the outcome of truly random occurrences such as a random number generator.
Lately I was struggling in VH and it was exactly how you said.. I looked at things very negatively. After this VOD I hopped into a vault and tried to be as positive as possible. And in the second room I found my first Treasure Room! Afterwards I easily finished the objective. Thanks for that, I guess :)
The muffin man song is older than Shrek, it was originally a warning about a guy who gave out muffins to kids to cause them to come into an alley so he could kidnap them. Now it is just a catchy song that's used to sell muffin in America.
what would be absolutly AMAZING is a door called a MoorDoor that you open it and it is very similar to the Vendoor area but instead of selling loot have it sell different doors like dungeon doors and the treasure doors, so that people could buy them and then use them in their builds when they get back home
Watching the behind the scenes, I feel like I’ve learned alot about iskall. The edited main channel iskall is the hypersocial, overgenerous, empathic provider. But here we get to see the hypercompetetive, overthinking, rationalizing bizskall side that doesn’t get the spotlight as often. And that he likes to sing. Like, I’m suprised he hasn’t done a unironic musical episode of Hermitcraft where he sings the whole time (but not actually surprised because of the overthinking)
and gives us the awkward sides of himself lol
I love that y’all just start singing bright side of life that made me giggle so much
Iskall thank you for uploading these videos. They’re my favorites and they cheer me up even on bad days. I love the good vibes and the genuine and casual interactions
You're so right about positivity. Just changing your outlook to slightly positive actually makes the world around you start becoming positive. Very healthy mental outlook
A more-door would be cool, like when you open it there’s three more doors, and you can choose between a treasure door, a dungeon, or a vendor 😮
Stress finally found her flower 😅
HERMIT CHALLANGES, grian stealing everyone's front door, getting "more" doors
As if I couldn't love Iskall more... of course he has perfect pitch!
Iskall remembered the season seven prank from the mumbo/grian hobbit thing. Grian was stealing mumbo's door and mumbo built a tower of jungle doors to look like the tower in mordor with the doors as a noise machine. That made me nostalgia for season seven for a hot sec
9:00 Iskall discovers that perception of things / experiences can alter one's reality
I hope you learn soon enough about stoicism. It truly makes you the happiest man ever
Thank you for letting us fulfill our child hood dreams of becoming professional video game testers iskallman
That Moredoor part, i think you might be remembering back to season 6 or 7 of hermitcraft where Grian and Mumbo were hobbits
Vendoor, like Mumbo's Moredoor in front of Grian's base several seasons of Hermitcraft ago. And yes, the Moredoor was redstone powered and generated a lot of noise. I think it was the season with the Mumbo wrench base and the Etho.... text above the trees.
16:20 my suggestion here is that you don't have ALL boons granted by the shrines active, you only have 1 per deity active (total of 4) that way there's a cap and it's varied between the boons. It still takes the last one per deity but you can have at least 4 active.
great idea, that totally would work
I absolutely love these vods especially since theres no hermitcraft atm. Thank you for giving me my hermitcraft fix Iskall!
i love the gear rolling aspect of vault hunters and i really hope iskall can show us when he rolls his new equipment cause i can really tell how good his gear has been getting
I thought "Dragon Room is a reference to a platypus? Peri the platypus!
I really like a phrase from DoshDoshinton: "I want the game to test my skills, not my patience".
If the result is granted the reward is meaningless.
More Door, a room with doors and all mobs are Grian hitting you with a waffle :D
I really enjoy watching these behind the scenes videos, thanks for uploading so many recently! I probably won't get through all of them but it's fun to pick and choose what I feel like watching when I have time :)
The door/more door/Mordor thing was Grian in season 7
MoorDoor Idea:
New Vault Trinket: a Ring (1 vault use), entering a first vault with the ring guarantees some MoorDoors will be generated in the Vault.
1) Find the door,
2) Spend the ring to get inside
3) ???
4) Profit.
If you don't find the door, the ring expires anyway. It's trinket power (if it needs one) could be some kind of temporary invisibility skill, maybe with reduced vision.
In season 7 Mumbo pranked Grian at his Hobbit hole base with a ton of doors on a redstone loop and made an eye of Sauron on top
And called it moredoor
Iskall you first hand experienced the Mordor prank built by mumbo jumbo in retaliation to the grain face on the hobbit hole(mumbo's) in season 7 episode 4 when you were exploring the jungle bases. The name of the episode is HermitCraft 7: 4 | FIRST SHOP & HOBBIT TRENDS
21:07 there was a more-door in the jungle durring hermitcraft s7; it was from either grian or mumbo iirc
oh my goodness, i checked the c with my guitar tuning app and it was the c, i mean we all know he can sing and love it when he does it, but i am still impressed
Think positive! *Opens extreme dungeon* Passes
My goodness Iskall was right YT not recommending him cause there is so many videos that I didn't know was uploaded recently!
The 'More-door' joke was in season seven I think, Grian was stealing hermits doors because Mumbo dared him to
2:50 in this part of the video you said that you can’t take back a jewel from a tool so k had an idea that’s fairly balanced, add a workbench that will allow you to take off either a random jewel or a specific one (depending on if you want to spend vault gold) and if you remove a jewel it has a 50% chance to chip the jewel essentially dropping the value of it from let’s say 9.5% to like 7% and/or raise the capacity of said jewel by a few points causing you to have the option to revamp your tools at the cost of gold and the jewel rarity
I would love this feature!
I love these BTS videos because it opens my eyes to what goes into this modpack. Thank you for sharing.
Sir iskall these videos are great, and always keep me entertained while im solo-vaulting in me and my friend’s skyvault world.
Nice to hear about the season 7 Moredoor again, that made me laugh when I first saw it
1:37 sir your Javelin skills are pretty.... good 🥲🥲
The moredoor prank was to Grian's base that i can remember. You put an eye of sauron on top of his base in S6
Ah yes~ The "MoreDoor" prank of Hermitcraft Season 7~ Mumbo Built the eye of Sauron (Made out of doors due to Grain ALLEGEDLY AND TOTALLY NOT stealing doors due to HERMIT CHALLENGES!!!) in front of Grain's hobbit hole base near the start of the season. ^~^ Hope that helps~
You need to add another door that leads to a small end-themed room and call it endoor, like the moon endor from star wars :D Maybe with a mob in it thats themed around the creatures living on endor
I recently made a hammer that has plus 2, and even that's too big for me. I genuinely think that unless you're clearing out a mine room, just using a 5x5 hammer is the best way to go. It's the perfect size for most POIs and doesn't destroy enough of the room to get in your way. I'm waiting till I unlock melded tools to make a new one so my looting will be a bit annoying for like 8 more levels, but it's definitely the right call
Edit: also of course an overworld tool benefits from being bigger, I'm speaking specifically of ore looting tools
the muffin man is a classic nursery rhyme/song, like little jack horner or mary had a little lamb
I’m absolutely loving the frequency of uploads!!!
16:30 ish...
Just checking if I understand correctly:
4 Vault Gods, 1 x blessing per vault per Vault God at the same time, so max of 4 blessings at the same time.
OR
1 x blessing active max.
20:36 and if you choose the wrong one, it will be a Gondor
20:59 hermitcraft season 7 yep
did anyone one else whistle along to "always look on the bright side"?
I have been experimenting a lot with outlook. Having a purely negative outlook doesn't work, but neither does a positive outlook for me. The best way is to have no expectations. But most importantly to focus on the journey.
Instead of thinking "see, I didn't find any!" Changing it to "I got this and I had a great time!" Worked, even if it felt disingenuous at first.
And for the next run "we'll see!"
Having a forced positive outlook made me depressed af. Because it never came true.
I'm like 90% sure that Grian was somehow involved in the "more"door pun prank 😂
His last room had the god alter he just completed, so sad he didn't go back the get the loot
21:10
It was grian in Hermitcraft season 7 some years ago
The song "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" is from Monty Python, Life of Brian.
aim for the stars so if you miss, you land on the moon
Wow haven't been able to watch for a few days and it's been an iskall morning like 6 hours of iskall vault hunters been a great morning too cold to go out anyway
Holy crap, ISKALL HAS PERFECT PITCH?!?
21:15 I think you are relating to the prank that mumbo and grian had at the start of hermitcraft season 7 (i think). Also gg, on the perfect pitch, i am a musician and i cant do that lol, wish i could xD.
It’s funny how I come over to watch Iskall and Stress play vault hunters… only for the conversation to turn into a similar thing I posted on Reddit about with my Twitch and TH-cam channels.
I... I mean the modern-ish meme "Do you know the muffin man?" is specifically from Shrek, but the little nursery rhyme is significantly older. Idona know by how many decades, though.
2:29 lol i made a max size echoing hammer and i seriously regretted it. It is really good for mine rooms though!
iskall you should make there be a chat message when you get reputation, bc sounds can be missed, epecially while watching videos. Example: Your deed pleased Tenos so much that your reputation has increased!
I think Mumbo pranked grian with MOREDOOR...
The start of a season, when both choose to be Hobbits, independent from another.
It was in the start of season 7
The more door prank was done by mumbo on grian at the beginning of season 7
mumbo did the door thing to grian, mordoor
you two singing... i love it!!!!
It would be great if there was a javelin transmog that was the little mushroom turtle from the tank mushroom guy so that u can completely turn into it lol, yes I’m aware that javelin transmog aren’t in the game
My first hammer, I forgot picking and used up all the cap. My second hammer was 13x13. My current hammer is 7x7 with 92% copium.
Iskal! Love the videos, especially the behind the scenes one. I had an idea for either an ability, trinket, or item: something that would attract or distract mobs for a small amount of time away from the player. (Forgive my ignorance if its already in the game, I dont have the ability to play it)
You should do a more door prank where there is a bedrock tube filled with doors that you gotta keep opening until the end there is nothing. Make it a 0.000001% chance to generate instead of a dungeon ir treasure door
Petition to change the name of the Ven-door to More-door.
Do you know the muffin man? Is a well known nursery rhyme. They did use it in Shrek in the torture scene. 😅
Season 7 prank on Grian, a tower of doors that open and close very fast, with an eye on top called Mordor
Grian did a prank in S7 of hermitcraft called Moredoor
I will try to join hermitcraft after 5years hope it would still be there
Favor’s stacking would feel better doing more than 1 altar a vault.
Currently i only ever do 1 altar because whatever buff i get, i dont want overwritten.
And thats assuming i even do an altar, i usually ignore them because i struggle to complete most if the quests and just curse myself
Me and my friends all happened to watch all of LOTR recently by complete coincidence (extended of course)
I will use that prank
19:55 I wonder if @Ethoslab is screaming that Iskall couldn't do a treasure room.
I'd love a trinket that worked when you used hunter it could show doors. Dungeons, treasure and vendoors.
Make it super rare. The eye of mordoor.
Moredoor was in hermitcraft season 7 when mumbo and grian were hobbits
Yea projection is a real thing, although I usually refer it the other way around. How do you fill your heart. If you fill it with hate you will project hate since that is what you spend all of your time doing.
I find that the best thing for me is if I don't like something, I can just cheese something else in. It's like, if I die due to a crash and have to spend gold to revive? Cheese the gold in. Easy. If I die legit because I just got overconfident in a spider dungeon... lol then that's on me for being silly.
Re the god favours... I'm sure you've thought about this, but what would it be like if when you're adding a second (or any favour after the first), a pop up appears like with the modifier archives, and allows you to either take the new one, or to keep the old.
Grian and Mumbo stole each others doors in early Season 7 HC I think? One time Mumbo put many doors in fromt of G's base and made them open and close with redstone, and called it Moredoor. Maybe you're thinking of that
22:00 I think Mumbo pranked grian( or grain) with MOREDOOR..... It was in the start of season 7
Iskall I barely ever get wooden or horde mob god trials and the others are difficult
The ore ones are on point wooden and horde mob are a little easy and the other chests and other mobs are difficult
But let me tell you after failing 6 trials and having to leave because I got mana leak or fading I deserve the singular easy wooden or horde mob trial
21:00 someone (i think you) placed a lot of doors next to grian's hobbit hole in season 7 hc!!!
Iskall knows if a woman says it’s alright it probably isnt
The dragon room?
PERRY THE DRAGON ROOM?!?!
17:43
more door was a mambo joke to grian
I think the mordor prank was HC season 9, and there was a wall of doors opening and closing outside a hobbits base
It was beginning of season 9
