Just completed my first city ride on mine, including a long uphill climb. It was awesome: nimble, quick, and responsive. I got it to replace my Giant Cypress upright, which was too "comfortable" to be any fun. The rear derailleur (sp?) on this bike is not high-end but it works just fine for me. I basically agree with everything this review says, it's an accurate description of the bike.
Got mine after a lot of research and this review is spot on ... Only been out a few times due to the weather as will use as a spring and summer bike . But very pleased so far, handles gravel very well and quick enough and comfortable on the roads. ( Love the bike that much it sits on its stand indoors )
I was originally planning on buying an X 2.0, but couldn't find one locally. One day, I just happened to call a local bike shop to see if they got any bikes in, and they just happened to have two X 3.0's in stock, so I got a large matte black one and I love it. It is so smooth and fast on the trail, that I just might sell my Cannondale CAADX Tiagra!
Great video, I took your advice and I got a brand new 2021 Specialized Allez E5, I really love this bicycle, you were right this is a very fast bicycle and I love it.
@@mmq9886 thank you for your reply if you go to my youtube channel I did a quick little video on it I do plan on doing more please be safe and enjoy your bicycle.
Btw, I did buy this bicycle based on your review. Was able to snag an identical one to the one in the video a couple months ago. Been cycling and lovin’ it!! Thanks again!!!
I think its fork is simple Hi-ten steel. In any case, I believe this is the best flat bar bike for the money, and I am still not sure whether this is a better fast commuting bike or my preference under 1000 euros, the Trek Domane AL 2
Ha, my Giant Escape with steel fork is 31 Lbs with an alu rear rack. I've gotta try carbon methinks. I do get a work out when moving it in/out the shed tho, so that's a bonus 😂
I got one cuz it was the only bike that I could get with an XL frame. Love everything EXCEPT these lame ass pedals. Rode in the rain & feet kept slipping off damn near every time I shifted to a higher gear. Gonna have to remedy that...
The tire seems well chosen for this bike. I appreciate how you’ve explained how the geometry contributes to the riding characteristics. Is 8 speeds enough for moderate hills?
Well anything can be done but it is costly It's not just changing the handlebar It's also changing many other parts to accommodate including brake and levers and possibly derailles. But no worries anything can be done depending on your budget. The bike is a open canvas and you can paint the picture anyway you want as long as you have the dollars
It can't be installed an aluminum front fork at this bike. The Manufacturers newer do it, because it will hurt your hands as a jackhammer. This fork is made of chrome molybdenum steel and is magnetic. i have this bike
I've always bought specialized, best bikes by far, but I've had this model for two weeks now and I can't see how having one drive chain has any benefit at all?. Its like being permanently stuck in second gear
I just switched from having a 3x shifter in the front on a Trek Dual Sport 2, to the 1x in a Sirrus X 2.0. I suppose it is a matter of preference and riding conditions, -- but I'm not missing the front shifter (nor the suspension in the fork). Specialized just feels more nimble, and the 42tooth in the rear compensates for lack of front derailleur just fine.
Gave up trying to buy a Specialized Sirrus X 4.0. Can’t find a shop with inventory and not one of the shops would allow me to special order or put in an order. Think how much cash Specialized could make if they actually produced the bikes they advertise!
Tried buying this exact same bike (same colour) in Lithuania, Europe. Started asking about it in April, was postponed until September and now it's postponed until next year, somewhere around May :( Really looking forward to it, although I had my doubts about the front fork with no suspension.
@@billylong1022 Thanks, but I got mine today! Took it for a 20km spin, rides really fun and fast. A bit hard on the curbs and sidewalks of the city, but nothing I can't handle :)
I am 6.6 tall, do you think the xl size would be ok for me? I understand that it’s not going to be perfect for my size but I really like this bike. Secondly the 1 front gearing based on your experience is it enough? Or the 2x9 of the standard Sirius 2.0 is better? Keep up the good work!
I’m 6’3 and I own this bike in XL. It’s the perfect size for me so it will be slightly too small for you, but if you adjusted the seat you’d be totally fine. You’d also be alright with an XXL
so my schwinn taff is totally trash that i bought from wal;mart...3rd time bringing it to the shop and im fed up.. the shop should me the marin ds1 and itsd a whopping 599...my taff was like 200 tops i think so what makes this other make worth another 300?? I love how its a hybrid and i noticed it feels a lot faster and lighter than my taff which is something i really wanted...but 599 is nuts...is there anything else that similar to the marin maybe a schwinn dual sport ???
@@leocorso I actually ordered the Sirrus X 2.0 and when it arrived I noticed some oxidation under the paintwork on the down tube so I sent it back. I have now ordered the Marin Kentfield 2 and looking forward to it arriving!
Would you recommend this bike over the Trek FX 1 Disc for a first time bike buyer looking at both paved and unpaved trails? At $549 the FX 1 Disc is a cheaper bike than the Sirrius X 2.0 (which is $700 at my bike shop). Is there much the Sirrius brings to the table that justifies the price difference?
Man... I was looking at Trek's Dual sport / Verve but I think this is a much better value and also more versatile than the Trek's lineups. The 1x is the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). I need a good bike for going around town with the kids and wife... my MTB days and riding a road bike is impossible now in FL (too many insane drivers). I also want to take it to the canals where its' packed sand, so this looks like a great one!
You can't always just go by height there's a lot of factors that go into Getting a bike to fit you correctly. It's always best to go to a bicycle shop in person to have a professional fit you and do business face to face. Thanks and good luck with You're a new bike
This bike BLOWS BIG TIME. The rims need constant replacing as well as the inner tubes. Streets of Los Angeles are like a 3rd world country. I’ve spent over $500 replacing rims and inner tubes. Buy a mountain bike instead.
Have had mine about 1.5 years. Love it. Just upgraded the pedals and oh my god it’s unstoppable
Yes ,This bike is very good at carrying speed across just about anything on the trail

Wow! Now that's a review, thank you. Liked & Subbed.
Great review, thankyou.
Hi, can you tell me difference/s between the sirrus x 2.0 2020 model vs the 2021 model...thanks!
I think its fork is simple Hi-ten steel. In any case, I believe this is the best flat bar bike for the money, and I am still not sure whether this is a better fast commuting bike or my preference under 1000 euros, the Trek Domane AL 2
Just bought this bike, lbs wouldn't take anything under $800 but they are the only shop that had it so i bought it. I love it!
Great video
yes, love the X line!
What's the difference between 2020 & 2021 versions?
Color?
And drivetrrain
Cannot get my 2.0, have paid for it in August.
Is it possible to install a chain guide to the Sirrus X 2.0? I have the same one and not sure which type of chain guide to get.
How is this compared to the Bianchi C Sport 2?
Ha, my Giant Escape with steel fork is 31 Lbs with an alu rear rack. I've gotta try carbon methinks. I do get a work out when moving it in/out the shed tho, so that's a bonus 😂
LITERALLY BEST BIKE FOR $ !!!
Just got this bike and so far it seems to be a pretty sweet bike that’s comfy and fairly fast. The only thing is, yeah, the pedals are whack.
Yes, the number of gears is not as important as the gear range and this bike has a wide gear range great for climbing!
any word on incoming stock, order two back in August and still waiting for them
I walked in and found one on the rack. 2 more layaway payments and it comes home with me.
Looks like your shoes match the bike awesome

From where can I get this color??? I really want it
Good video. Thanks. What’s the smallest width tire that can be used on these wheels?
I haven't pushed the limits of small but the 28mm Roubaix fits nicely! I have tried it.
Is the headtube shorter that a 2020 medium frame? It appears a smidge shorter
