Mobius was my first boss encounter, and I will forever treasure the memory of seeing Obsession's attack animation while I was on the ropes. That plus the music is just pure ectastic dramatic tension.
With this song's title, his obsession with fish, this boss being called "The Widower", one of the attacks having the quote "life finds a way" and Nowak saying he gutted fish with his father and hating it, I'm just gonna take a wild guess and say that Mobius is Nowak's father, or some representation at least
This boss always reminds me of Moby Dick, and the Great Gatsby. A man riddled with obsessions standing on a whale, haunted by the light from the other side of the bay. The chasing of love lost destroying the mind. The pursuit of life is as dangerous as a life in pursuit. I also love all the homages to his lost wife, and his obsession with her. The tongue appearing as if blue hands were peeking from the mouth, the giant skeleton on the horizon, bigger than even an ungod, if an ungod was proportional to its hands. The corpses that float by in the waters.
Honestly that's great all the bosses of the far shore deal with some kind of obsession Roid's obsession with returning to those waves by the cheering of his fans the Hickories obsession with each other burning down everything around them Trigger Fingers having ended up there because of his obsession with a flawed ideology and Mobius who's obsession with seeing her again has led him to harm the innocent in this case fish

Can I rant for a second? This boss is easilly my least favorite in the game. And the game gives me him as the first boss at least 70% of the time, my last 5 runs have all been this guy and he's the complete opposite of fun. No matter what I do, unless I have Splig or Hans in the party I will take an ungodly amount of damage to him, often more than I would to any boss short of Osman or Heaven. The boss takes three hundred years and theres often times literally nothing I can do except wait for him to spawn more mungies or else I take a stupid amount of damage. Even keeping the mungies alive for as long as possible doesn't help because I get flooded with so much blue pigment that I cant actually do anything with the red pigment I get. The only boss in the entire game that I will just reset the run sometimes because I dont wanna deal with his ugly mug. I must be missing something, 2 party members or 5, killing the mungies fast or slow, being aggressive or passive, it doesn't matter ill take an egregious amount of damage and take longer than the average smoothskin or charcarrion fight. Only bad boss in the entire game and the only bad thing I can say about it. TL;DR Mobius bad, everything else good.
In addition to Hans and Splig, Fennec, Pearl with Hungry Jaws and Thype can also utilise blue pigment well. And there are also a ton of other fools who use blue in small amounts. I don't get what's so difficult about him. Clive and SmokeStacks are also good for pigment management.
