For per drop and per litre count, it is really important to know the amount of sample which is been filtered. Planktonic population are done by estimating number of each species. Where each species is counted and the grand total will be your per drop count. For the estimation of per litre count formula is been used Total plankton count per litre= A *(1/L) *(n/v) Where, A = number or organism per drop L = volume of original sample (1) n = total volume of concentrated sample (ml) V = volume of one drop For reference paper or more details email on neel7007@gmail.com

Many Zooplankton identification manual are available online.
@@neeltalati Thank you sir
Can we preserve the extracted sample for long time in freeze?
Yess you have to fix in formaldehyde
Thanku sir
Good work. But follow safety. Use rubber bulb to suck material.

Sir can we talk .. i am doing research on algae .. I have to know some facts from you sir
What is the volume of the collecting vial
30 ml vial attached at the bottom of plankton net.
Very helpful sir .... Sir 60 micron mesh size net is good for phytoplankton or other size we should use ??
I would suggest a 20-micron size net to be used as it will collect more tiny size plankton, and you will be able to list more diversity.
@@neeltalati Thank you so much sir.... hoping for your help in future as well....
@@mib-online1320 sure, welcome
Sir, please let me know from which paper you used the protocol to obtain this sample?
Various plankton manuals are available online, if you don't find send me your email id will send you.
@@neeltalati I want manual sir
Sir,is centrifugation necessary ?
It is not necessary but for better results we should centrifuge the sample.
