CLAAS LEXION 6900. Straw walker record 2019.

Revolutions don't always happen from one day to the next. Sometimes they need time to mature. In 1995, the LEXION 480 with the APS HYBRID system set an initial record of 40 tonnes of grain per hour. And now the LEXION 6900 with the new APS SYNFLOW WALKER threshing system has taken things to a new level by breaking the original record and doing so with an output even higher than expected. Typical LEXION, in fact.

Expectations exceeded.
The new record was set on the island of Rügen, where 110 hectares of winter wheat were waiting to be threshed. Well-equipped with CEMOS AUTOMATIC and the 10.8-metre wide CONVIO draper cutterbar, the LEXION showed what it was capable of during 8 hours of use under real-world conditions. The result?

Not quite. The new C8 has taken 10 years of development, 8 years or 1 million hours of field testing.

Ok but the point of walker combine is getting the most balable straw output, why you chopping them and strewing on the land?

You're right, though, there is multiple purposes. On the one hand, that is excellent straw for baling and bedding your animals. On the other, it is also great food for soil and helps poor humus contents to recover. In regions with low livestock density, chopping the straw and keeping the organic matter in the field, is still a fertile alternative.
