In this Vlog, we celebrated my 31st birthday with a picnic and some family fun in Meru.
We also captured a new bee swarm we found in a tree in our compound . 🐝

I subscribed to your channel, maybe 2 weeks ago.I am from South Africa and a pensioner. How I like your simplicity as a family. As for your behaved children, I am so overwhelmed with their manners,so humble and are not fussy eaters. They just eat. May God bless the family.
The tree you sat under is called a Mugumo tree & it is considered a sacred tree among many tribes in Kenya. Fun fact, as you go up the Westlands ramp to get onto the Nairobi Expressway you will get to see a famous Mugumo Tree that acquired special protection status under the forest act 2005 part III 34 (I). The Nairobi expressway contractors had to find a way to work around that Mugumo tree so as to avoid cutting it down which had been the initial plan before it's protection status. Cutting one down is considered as a bad omen.

Your hives are growing...your beekeeping is expanding..what a blessing...how do they know they got the queen? George knows a lot about farming and agriculture....and he explains so patiently. Watching him showing the kids how to play soccer was so lovely...your daughter is a natural...once she builds up strength in her legs... she'll be shooting those balls past George...😉

That huge tree you camped under is called Mugumo. It's a sacred tree in Meru community. I ate the cake with my eyes 😅

I live in the uk where’s life is not easy to much bills to pay and also jobs became scarce especially after corona 19, American life is so hectic to go to Africa from the USA and you established some business you are blessed guys. They do enter the hive themselves too! The smell in the hives attracts them… but this is another way to capture a swarm when you’re lucky enough to happen upon it 😊💕

Wow, this is very interesting, I love how meru is clean general. There is no littering as compared to other towns like Nanyuki, Embu or Murang’a. You have a great family. @@jenniferchege9611 wewe kama ni mmoja hizo county nimesema . See their overall town hygiene. Especially town drainage system the engineers in those towns are asleep. Then the public health ya restaurants and bars in the mentioned towns is a disaster. I worked while plying that route. Meru is clean and has good quality infrastructure. Hata village public schools there are more beautiful and sturdy compared to Embu,Murang’a and Nanyuki. The girls in meru too are hybrid kienyeji unlike the latter…
