I don't know why mine wont go straight. Its like the loaf moves and my cuts are thinner at the bottom. I wish you would do a tutorial with someone who has never cut soap or has problems with it so you could trouble shoot what they're doing wrong. PLEEEZE?!?
Ive used those boxes to cut soap before. If the slot is not the same width as your knife it will cut crooked. This is the way I do it. th-cam.com/video/yGjuGoqK81c/w-d-xo.html
As a consumer not a soap maker - how can I cut my bars into smaller pieces? I have recently purchased 3 scents and would like to cut each in half to not have a big chunk setting in a damp shower and so I can switch up scents sooner. What can I use around the house to cut my bars without making a mess of them?
You can use a sharp kitchen knife. As the soap is cured you don't have to worry about using it again on food as long as you thoroughly clean the knife after use.
I've got one of these cutting boxes with a blade down at the underside of the box. What's that blade for? It's flush even with the bottom of the box on the underside! Crazy looking.

Same here, so frustrating. Let us know if you were able to find a solution :). Thanks!
@@annakhrimyan2841 agree!
Looks like he’s applying pressure with his right hand thumb to stabilize the loaf so it doesn’t shift around while he cuts it.
thanks for sharing, this was extremely satisfying to watch
Where is the link to buy these?
Does this work ok with a design or petals on top?
How long do you leave the soap to dry out in the silicone mold before cutting?
Idk maybe a couple days
24 hour

That's a plainer (sp?). You run the soap across it and it shaves off a little. You can make soap curls with it. Bevel your edges and more.
thank you
