Thank you Lisa Nelson for taking the video and for getting us the tickets to go there front row seats beautiful song what an outstanding talented artist is so awesome Just like a boomerang he returns into my head with all his mini tunes throughout my 67 years
Saw Gordon Lightfoot on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Club Regent Event Centre Casino, Winnipeg, Manitoba. He still has a great vocals and did a great job on this song. He shorten a lot of his songs for the concerts which was okay because he got most of his songs in on the concert. Long live our Canadian Gordon Lightfoot.
All those years ago I was hitch-hiking home from Cork city (where it always rains) - new guitar in my hand and I heard this song on my transistor. It inspired me to leave home and spend a lifetime on the road. Thanks Gordon Lightfoot - YOU did it to me!
Love you Gordon - thank you for the oh so many years and the gift of your talent you have given to us all. From a Canadian now living in Cornwall UK. Great music keeps our hearts and minds young ! Treasured memories of times growing up together with your music
I remember him at Artpark in Youngstown, N.Y. on a beautiful night. He is a minstral of the highest order, and thank him for sharing his music with my life.
First heard Lightfoot on Lethbridge (Alberta) radio in 1966 while posted on Loneman Lookout in Glacier National Park. The soul of longing. A great version here -- so good that he's still with us!
Thanks for recording this performance and posting it. G.L.'s voice and playing on this are as good as I when I saw him in Philadelphia about 38 years ago. The band sounds great too, this must have been a great concert. I love singing this song.

Good going Gordon!
I like the way his voice has aged.
Canada`a gift for all to enjoy!
Thoroughly enjoyable.
at 72, Gordon is still the master, clearly God's Will that he's so on top of his game.
What a great song writer! not bad at 72.
This song means a ton to me.
still the best better than all the covers
keep going gord--you've earned it
Saw the Oct. 17 2010 show in Bristol TN. He didn't do this one but they had a great show. Will miss TERRY CLEMENTS.
Check out that 12 string. First one I've seen. What a Hell-of-An A Grade performer.
I had no idea Gordon Lightfoot wrote this I think of it as Peter Paul and Mary song, thats what I like about TH-cam you can learn so many things.
It hurts me so much to see him so old and frail... Gordy, my love. Take care of yourself!!
THE REAL DEAL

I would just like to make it to 72, he still sounds good..
After Elvis sang it this song was known all over the world.
Elvis did a great job, but nobody puts the magic into a Gordon Lightfoot tune like Gorodn does....
I would just like to make it to 72, he still sounds good..funny i thought elvis wrote and sang this song, I like Gordons version.
get your facts straight he said that in a interview a few years back
We luv Gord, huh?
bob dylan says lightfoot is his idol
I wanna be young again .. even if it means I have to go back to Vietnam.
Great song! (Like many old artists, he wants to talk first. A mistake).
Don't make them like they used too.
Sad
That's not true.
Sigh............ :o)
Elvis' version was better. Much more heartfelt and less "paint by the numbers." But I like Lightfoot.
