I agree with you guys that leading riff is so sick and catchy af! It makes you wanna cruise and headbang all along :3 And it's not a generic melodeath riff though In Flames also has some core elements to it as well
I mean, it's kind of the other way around. Modern Metalcore has melodic death metal elements, so it's more like metalcore bands sound like In Flames/At the Gates. The oldies will keep doing their thing in many cases, and imo it's better than the experimentation IF have made in the past, which...didn't really work for them imo
I saw In Flames live a few weeks ago. Yes, this song is great live and so was the entire setlist (going back to Colony and Whoracle albums.) Looking forward to Foregone pt.2 tomorrow and to more of your reaction videos 🤘🤘🔥
This one felt like old IF, in a good way and I agree with you on the riffs. Juicy🤘🏻🔥 Side note: I Prevail just dropped a new song called Body Bag, it’s amazing. Highly recommend that you check it out.
In flames going back to their 2000s way of riffage mixing with their more recent albums chorus style, or at least, thats what this felt to me. Combining both pretty well. I'm very excited for their coming stuff now with this release.

Nah... InFlames no longer relevant. They have fallen into thr mediocrity for like ten or so years already hence I do not expect anything original or at least fresh sounding from them anymore.
This much we all know…but what did you think of the track? If the album as a whole can bring the same energy as this track, we could be in for a pleasant surprise. I’ll take the seeing is believing approach but my fingers are crossed.

You should check The Halo Effect. All members are old In Flames memebers. And music is like Whoracle/ Colony era In Flmanes
Halo Effect have been impressive but nothing close to Whoracle or Colony imo. They sound a bit more like Character-era Dark Tranquility to me
