Lordy that sounds good! Been doing a "study" of the BF amps and over the last few years have managed to acquire a 67 Super Reverb, 64 Vibro Champ, and a 65 Deluxe Reverb, along with a 62 Brown Princeton. Wish I could collect all classic Fender amps, but they're just getting so high up in value now. If I can somehow land a BF Princeton Reverb,, Vibrolux Reverb and maybe a Bassman, I can die happy lol. Great stuff as always guys!

Nice and tasteful, Trevor. And nice Stratocaster. I admire your ability to play left and right, which, IIRC, Jimi could as well. And yeh. These Vibroluxes sit in a niche all by themselves in the Fender BlackFace line up, just as the Brownface Tremoluxes did.

The cab looks to be the same dimensions as my 64 Pro, never noticed that before. Lovely amp

I have a ‘66 with the brown and gold Jensen speakers. That thing sings.

In late '67 - early '68, I was 13 or just turned 14. I was in a band. Still played the Teisco single-pickup guitar I got for my 12th birthday in '66. I didn't have a real amp, but our rhythm guitar player had a neighbor who owned an almost new black-face Vibrolux-Reverb just like that one. Not sure if it was a '66 or '67. He would loan it to us sometimes when we had a gig so I would have an amp to play thru. I knew it was a really good amp even then, but I didn't REALLY understand just how good it was. But it sounded great!! Eventually I bought a used Silvertone amp. By 1970 I had a silver-face Bassman head w/various cabs.
    Those were the days...
    Nice playing!

The Vibrolux two 10's is an apex amp.. Amazing amp -- can't believe fender only makes these in the noisy Custom lineup... A huge mistake.. Great tons as heard here.

Great demo! I always enjoy your video's, keep up the good work! Do you guys have a Silverface Vibro Champ in stock and if so, it would be nice to see a demo of that one. :)

Ahhh mate that sounds so amazing, ive been following your channel for a fair few years now and Im nowhere near able to afford any of these beautiful vintage instruments but I do use what I have use your intro as a reference for setting my old 90's champ 25 and a tech21 pre amp for my strat sound! I love that fat bassy rumble drive you get when you hit a chord hard. Is that a vibrolux in the intro?

Nice work Trev! From one lefty to another!
    What year strat is that?
Us lefty’s don’t get a good run of guitars to choose from!

Like the amp, but those guitars on the wall (minus the Antiguas!) and the one in his hands make me feel like the two Strats I have are not enough Strats.

l don't know enough about electronics to say "Fenders sound the way they do because of ____" but l can tell if someone is playing thru a Fender amp without even seeing the amp. l have a 22W Super Sonic which l like to push the hell outta from time to time.

Sounds great! Can I ask where you set your pickups on that Strat? Do you prefer lower pickup height or closer to the strings? I’m always curious what other players prefer on that. Awesome amp wish I could afford one!

I love my 74 Vibrolux, but can’t get it above 3 without the band complaining not to mention the sound guys. You go 5?😮

Wow! Mine sounds crappy on anything less than 4.5. I think my speakers (Weber alnicos) are too efficient. I have a NOS pair of Fender blue Emi’s I’m thinking about installing.

That intro, although beautiful, is a tad bit too long…

Man, I’ve always thought the same thing. It’s well thought out and shot, but could be tightened up 50%. And holy crap, I’m a sucker for those 66 & 67 Blackface Fenders combo’s. 👍
